Recent fluctuations in foreign exchange rates have led NVIDIA to reduce the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Prices (MSRPs) of its GeForce RTX 50 series GPUs, including the highly anticipated RTX 5090. These price adjustments come as regional currencies such as the Euro and British Pound have strengthened against the US Dollar.
NVIDIA’s RTX 50 GPUs: Price Adjustments Driven by Currency Strength
In the past few months, the Euro and Pound have appreciated against the Dollar, prompting NVIDIA to adjust the pricing structure of its RTX 50 series. As a result, consumers can now find more competitive prices, particularly in the UK and Europe, making these GPUs more accessible.

As of now, in the UK, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 is priced at £1, 799, down from its initial launch price of £1, 939. While the RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5060 Ti have retained their original prices, other models have seen significant reductions:
- RTX 5090: £1, 799 (-7.2% from Launch MSRP)
- RTX 5080: £909 (-7.2% from Launch MSRP)
- RTX 5070 Ti: £729 (No Change)
- RTX 5070: £499 (-7.4% from Launch MSRP)
- RTX 5060 Ti: £349 (No Change)

Turning to the European market, the pricing for the GeForce RTX 5090 has seen a notable drop of 9.9%, making it the most significantly reduced model in Europe. Here is the updated pricing for the entire lineup in Euros:
- RTX 5090: €2, 099 (-9.9% from Launch MSRP)
- RTX 5080: €1, 059 (-9.4% from Launch MSRP)
- RTX 5070 Ti: €879 (No Change)
- RTX 5070: €589 (-9.2% from Launch MSRP)
- RTX 5060 Ti: €399 (No Change)
- RTX 5060: €319 (No Change)

It’s important to note that these changes in pricing are primarily a reaction to currency fluctuations rather than an official reduction in costs. This disparity is clearly illustrated when looking at the US market, where MSRPs remain unchanged from initial launch prices:
- RTX 5090: $1, 999
- RTX 5080: $999
- RTX 5070 Ti: $749
- RTX 5070: $549
- RTX 5060 Ti: $379
- RTX 5060: $249

Interestingly, while retail prices in the US remain static, some models are available at discounts below MSRP. Previously, flagship GPUs like the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 were reported at prices between $2, 500 and $3, 000 for the 5090, and $1, 350 to $1, 500 for the 5080. As the holiday season approaches in Q4 2025, enthusiasts can anticipate further adjustments and potential discounts.
