Today marks a significant milestone for the action/adventure fantasy game Eternal Strands, as it rolls out an update that incorporates NVIDIA DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation. This enhancement joins a robust lineup of features that the game has supported since its launch in January 2025, including DLSS Super Resolution, DLSS Frame Generation, DLAA, and NVIDIA Reflex. Players can also utilize the latest transformer AI model through the NVIDIA app to further elevate image quality and gaming experience. The integration of DLSS 4 is particularly noteworthy for owners of GeForce RTX 50 Series graphics cards, as it promises to further enhance frame rates.

Gameplay Performance and Testing Insights

The development team has effectively mitigated the common stuttering issues associated with Unreal Engine 5, allowing for a smoother gameplay experience. In a benchmarking session using a setup with an i7-13700F processor, an RTX 4080 graphics card, and 32 GB of RAM, the game was tested at 4K resolution with epic settings. With NVIDIA DLSS set to Ultra Quality and Frame Generation active, players can expect average frame rates around 118 FPS on the Upper Dynevron map, which is notorious for its high enemy density. Conversely, disabling both DLSS and Frame Generation brought the performance down to an average of 89 FPS, still providing a highly playable experience.

It is worth noting that while the recorded 1% lows were found to be at 25 FPS and 35 FPS, which indicated some stuttering occurrences, these were not significantly impactful on gameplay. Given the demanding nature of Unreal Engine 5 games, the performance during my extensive 35-hour playthrough was surprisingly stable, never dropping below playable framerates.

Upcoming Content Updates in the Gaming Landscape

In addition to Eternal Strands, there are several notable upcoming updates within the gaming community. Tomorrow, a seasonal update for the free-to-play anime third-person shooter Strinova is set to implement both NVIDIA DLSS Multi Frame Generation and Frame Generation, alongside enhancements to DLSS Super Resolution. Additionally, later this week, Monster Energy Supercross 25 – The Official Video Game will receive a patch to integrate DLSS Super Resolution, further enhancing visual performance.

Exciting New Features in Diablo IV

Looking ahead to July 1, the upcoming Diablo IV Season 9: Sins of the Horadrim will also debut native NVIDIA DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation support, making this feature more accessible as it was previously available only via the NVIDIA app. This season will introduce hidden Horadric Strongrooms within Nightmare Dungeons, concealing Blood Relics influenced by Astaroth. Players will have the opportunity to wield ancient Horadric magic to craft personalized spells, forge potent jewels, and engage in a reimagined encounter with Astaroth, enhancing the immersive experience of the game.
