
NVIDIA recently announced significant developments regarding its next-generation Rubin chips, confirming they are currently in manufacturing and are expected to commence volume production in the latter half of 2026. Meanwhile, the company’s gaming segment is achieving record-breaking revenue performance.
NVIDIA’s Rubin Chips Poised for Production in 2H 2026
During the second quarter earnings call for the fiscal year 2026, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang shared exciting news about the company’s advancements in AI technology. The Rubin platform, which includes the Rubin GPU alongside five additional chips—Vera CPU, CX9 SuperNIC, Spectrum-X, Silicon Photonics processor, and NVLINK 144 switch—is now in fabrication and is set for release as part of NVIDIA’s routine annual product cycle during 2026.
The chips of the Rubin platform are in fab, the Vera CPU, Rubin GPU, CX9 SuperNIC, NVLink 144 scale up switch, Spectrum-X scale out and scale across switch, and the silicon photonics processor. Rubin remains on schedule for volume production next year. Rubin will be our third-generation NVLink rack scale AI supercomputer with a mature and full-scale supply chain. This keeps us on track with our pace of an annual product cadence and continuous innovation across compute, networking, systems, and software.
Our next platform Rubin, is already in fab. We have 6 new chips that represent the Rubin platform. They have all ticked up at TSMC. Rubin will be our third-generation NVLink rack scale AI supercomputer. We expect to have a much more mature and fully scaled-up supply chain. Blackwell and Rubin AI factory platforms will be scaling into the $3 trillion to $4 trillion global AI factory build out through the end of the decade.

Huang also indicated that the Rubin platform is expected to support NVIDIA’s ambitious plans to leverage the Blackwell and Rubin systems towards capturing a substantial part of a projected $3 to $4 trillion AI infrastructure market within the next five years. Blackwell Ultra GB300 Platform Thriving
In addition to the developments surrounding the Rubin chips, NVIDIA highlighted the impressive performance of their Blackwell Ultra GB300 platform during the earnings call. This platform has reportedly generated tens of billions in revenue due to exceptional demand. Production of the GB300 AI GPUs has now reached full capacity, and the transition has been described as “extraordinary”for leading cloud service providers.

The new Blackwell Ultra platform has also had a strong quarter, generating tens of billions in revenue. The transition to GB300 architecture has been seamless, thanks to its shared design with the previous GB200 series, allowing for efficient deployment of new racks. Currently, production rates have returned to peak performance, yielding approximately 1, 000 racks weekly, with further acceleration anticipated as capacity is expanded in the third quarter.
NVIDIA’s Gaming Sector Achieves Record Revenue
NVIDIA’s gaming revenue also saw remarkable growth, reaching $4.3 billion. This figure represents a 14% increase from the previous quarter and an impressive 49% surge year-on-year. According to the company, this increase can be attributed to robust sales linked to the Blackwell RTX GPUs and improved availability of the latest GeForce RTX 50 models.
