NVIDIA Announces Global Launch of AION 2 in 2026 Featuring DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation

AION 2 Set for Global Release in 2026, Promising an Enhanced Gaming Experience

NCSOFT has officially announced that the highly anticipated MMORPG, AION 2, is scheduled for a global launch in 2026. This sequel, which is designed for both PC and mobile platforms, will support cutting-edge technologies like DLSS 4 and Multi Frame Generation, enhancing gameplay and visual fidelity for players worldwide.

Exciting Launch in South Korea and Taiwan

The first wave of players can dive into AION 2 starting November 19, 2025, in South Korea and Taiwan. This release marks a significant milestone as it continues the legacy of Aion: The Tower of Eternity, which debuted in 2008. Unlike its predecessor, which utilized Crytek’s CRYENGINE, the new title is built on the advanced capabilities of Unreal Engine 5, promising a stunning visual experience.

A Vast and Seamless World Awaits

Set approximately 200 years after the events of the first game, AION 2 offers an expansive world that is reported to be 36 times larger than its predecessor. Players will find a seamless environment that eliminates the loading screens previously associated with zone transitions, enabling a continuous exploration experience. The game retains the central conflict between the Elyos and Asmodian factions, though innovative server technology will isolate these groups into separate servers, with PvP action concentrated in the Abyss battlefield. Here, players from each faction can engage in strategic conflicts.

Rich Content and Diverse Class Options

Developers have committed to delivering a robust content offering, including over 200 dungeons that cater to various playstyles, ranging from solo adventures to collaborative challenges for groups of up to eight players. Upon launch, players can choose from eight distinct classes, including:

  • Gladiator
  • Templar
  • Assassin
  • Marksman
  • Sorcerer
  • Spiritmaster
  • Cleric
  • Sing

Celebrating Innovation at the GeForce Gamer Festival

The announcement was made during the GeForce Gamer Festival currently taking place at COEX in Seoul, commemorating 25 years of NVIDIA’s presence in South Korea. Attendees at the festival can experience AION 2 firsthand, alongside exciting titles like NCSOFT’s MMOTPS, Cinder City, which was previewed at Gamescom 2025.

Additionally, NVIDIA provided an update from KRAFTON regarding PUBG Ally, a co-playable character enhanced by the ACE framework. This feature is powered by the advanced small language model, Mistral-Nemo-Minitron-8B-128k, allowing AI companions to engage players during battles. A user test event for PUBG Ally is planned for early next year, promising further innovations in gameplay dynamics.
