NVIDIA has unveiled ambitious plans to establish one of the largest AI supercomputers in Taiwan, harnessing the power of its innovative Blackwell architecture. This initiative comes in collaboration with Foxconn, a leading technology firm.
Transforming Taiwan’s Technological Landscape with NVIDIA’s New AI Supercomputer
Press Release: In a significant stride towards advancing AI capabilities, NVIDIA and Foxconn Hon Hai Technology Group have announced a deepening of their long-standing partnership. Together with the support of the Taiwanese government, the two companies aim to construct an AI factory supercomputer boasting state-of-the-art NVIDIA Blackwell infrastructure for researchers, startups, and various industries.

Foxconn will extend its technological prowess by providing the AI infrastructure through its subsidiary, Big Innovation Company, recognized as an NVIDIA Cloud Partner. Equipped with 10, 000 NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs, this AI factory is set to significantly enhance AI computing accessibility and stimulate innovation across Taiwan’s research and business sectors. The supercomputer, managed by the Taiwan National Science and Technology Council, will supply valuable AI cloud computing resources, thereby accelerating the development and deployment of AI technologies in various fields.
TSMC researchers are geared to utilize this cutting-edge system to exponentially boost their research and development efforts, leveraging performance capabilities that far exceed those of older generation systems.
Foxconn: A Catalyst for Regional Technological Advancements as NVIDIA Cloud Partner
The AI factory will be anchored by NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra systems, featuring innovations like the NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 rack-scale setups, NVIDIA NVLink, NVIDIA Quantum InfiniBand, and NVIDIA Spectrum-X Ethernet networking to optimize performance.
In addition to its role as an NVIDIA Cloud Partner, Big Innovation Cloud is poised to join the NVIDIA DGX Cloud Lepton marketplace, launched recently. This initiative aims to democratize access to advanced GPU resources for a diverse range of enterprises—including startups, research entities, and established industrial companies—thereby expediting AI evolution and implementation in Taiwan. Furthermore, the system will offer crucial computing support to invigorate the initiatives of startups and developers within the frameworks of the NVIDIA Inception program and the NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute.

Foxconn plans to leverage the capabilities of the Big Innovation Company’s AI supercomputer to enhance automation and efficiency across its three foundational sectors: smart cities, electric vehicles, and manufacturing. This strategic vision aims to create synergies among industries, citizens, and governmental bodies, fostering accelerated growth powered by AI technologies.
For smart city initiatives, the AI factory will optimize interconnected transportation systems and public amenities, ultimately improving the living standards for citizens in Taiwan. In the realm of electric vehicles, the infrastructure will bolster advanced driver assistance systems and overall safety features. Within manufacturing, AI-driven analytics, automation, and digital twin technologies will refine operational processes and quicken product development cycles.
