Projections indicate that shipments of NVIDIA’s cutting-edge Blackwell GB300 enterprise AI systems are set to increase by an impressive 300% in the upcoming third quarter, according to industry brokerage estimates. Launched earlier this year, Blackwell represents NVIDIA’s latest innovation in AI GPU architecture, with approximately 50% of the company’s data center revenue originating from Blackwell chips in the previous quarter. This growth follows a strategic alteration in the chip’s production mask aimed at enhancing manufacturing efficiency.

Projected Growth of NVIDIA’s Blackwell GPU Systems: Up to 60, 000 Units in 2026

The Blackwell GB300 system is composed of 72 state-of-the-art NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs paired with 36 Arm-based processors, making it one of the most sophisticated and sought-after AI infrastructure systems globally. Since the initial shipment of customer samples during the second fiscal quarter of last year, NVIDIA has ramped up production following an update to the product mask. This adjustment was pivotal in enabling a significant revenue contribution from Blackwell beginning in the fourth quarter.

NVIDIA characterized the Blackwell ramp as the fastest in its history, resulting in revenue of $11 billion. By the following quarter, the Blackwell architecture began to service all customer segments, encompassing the gaming industry as well, thereby broadening its impact.

In Q2 of 2025 (FY26), NVIDIA reported a 17% quarter-over-quarter revenue increase attributed to Blackwell, with notable contributions also benefiting the Gaming and Professional Visualization segments—sectors not strictly reliant on AI computing capabilities. This quarter also marked the debut of the Blackwell Ultra GPU, which began its production ramp during this period.

Current brokerage forecasts indicate that shipments of Blackwell GB200 and GB300 systems, tailored for enterprise applications, could surge by 300% sequentially in the third quarter. Looking ahead to next year, estimates suggest that NVIDIA’s shipments could reach as high as 60, 000 units.

Previous projections anticipated that Microsoft would place an order for approximately 1, 500 GB200 racks in Q4 2025. These estimates emerge amid positive sentiment surrounding Taiwan’s Hon Hai Technology Group, more commonly known as Foxconn, a prominent contract manufacturer for NVIDIA’s Blackwell rack assembly. Analysts predict that Foxconn will enjoy sustained momentum driven by the increasing demand for AI technologies.
