Nvidia GeForce Users: New Driver Release Enhances Gaming Experience
Nvidia has unveiled its latest driver, the WHQL-certified 581.29 Game Ready driver, tailored specifically for its GeForce graphics users. This new version primarily introduces support for two highly anticipated games while addressing a singular bug issue.
Key Features of the 581.29 Driver
Set to launch on September 12, Borderlands 4 is one of the main titles that will benefit from this update. With the new driver, players equipped with Nvidia’s latest hardware will gain access to DLSS 4 technology, enabling superior upscaling capabilities. Additionally, the Multi Frame Generation feature promises to deliver up to five times more AI-enhanced frames, enhancing overall gameplay smoothness. The driver also incorporates Nvidia Reflex, which helps minimize latency.
Nvidia is sweetening the deal by bundling Borderlands 4 with its RTX 50 series graphics cards and laptops. This promotion remains valid until September 22 and includes both the base game and the Gilded Glory Pack at no additional cost.
Support for Upcoming Titles
The excitement continues with the upcoming release of Dying Light: The Beast on September 19. This title will similarly utilize DLSS 4 and Multi Frame Generation technology, promoting better frame rates and an overall improved gaming experience, as highlighted in the comparison video made available.
Bug Fixes and Ongoing Issues
This driver update addresses one known issue: a performance degradation experienced in Marvel Rivals when running certain 581.xx drivers. Specifically, this issue is outlined as follows:
- Marvel Rivals: Performance drop when using select 581.xx drivers.
In addition, Nvidia is aware of several ongoing issues that are currently being investigated by their driver team:
- Counter-Strike 2: Text may exhibit slight distortion at in-game resolutions lower than the display’s native resolution.
- Adobe Premiere Pro: Some users may experience freezes during hardware encoding exports on specific system configurations.
- Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth: Users may encounter light flickering on some systems after the driver update.
