“Now I can’t wait” — Fans Excited for Stray Kids and NSYNC Collaboration Stage at AMA’s 50th Anniversary Special

Stray Kids is gearing up to share the stage with NSYNC for the 50th Anniversary Special of the American Music Awards. According to a report from Billboard, during an interview on CBS with host Tetris, the K-pop sensation expressed their excitement about performing a special ‘tribute to boy bands’ alongside NSYNC. Viewers can catch the ceremony airing on CBS and Paramount Plus on October 6 at 8 PM (ET).

During the interview, Tetris prompted the K-pop boy band to reflect on their predecessors in the boy band sphere. Felix of Stray Kids acknowledged the significant impact NSYNC has had on the music industry.

“There are so many boy groups that paved the way. But also just like to perform, I mean, NSYNC also paved the way a lot. They showed a lot of culture. Just performing at the American Music Awards for the first time, and doing a collaboration with NSYNC was very memorable. It was very special. We were vibing, it was great,”Felix shared.

Many fans picked up on the interviewer’s repeated references to “marionettes,”likely a nod to NSYNC’s iconic puppet-themed track, “Bye Bye Bye,”which has also gained fame from appearances in Deadpool & Wolverine. This has led fans to speculate that Stray Kids and NSYNC may join forces for a special stage performance at the upcoming 2024 AMAs.

One fan excitedly tweeted on X,

“Skz x nsync collab are you serious???? Now I really can’t wait!!”

Fans inundated X (formerly Twitter) with their exuberance and anticipation for the much-anticipated performance.

“I feel like this will be very legendary remembering skz stage performance records…”a fan wrote.

“EVERY DAY MORE PROUD OF STRAY KIDS.”another fan said.

“THIS ONE GONNA BE FOR HISTORY BOOKS.”another fan added.

Fans also commended Felix for his articulate responses during the interview.

“Felix was brilliant. Great conversation skills. Polite, respectful and thoughtful. All groups/bands in the world with different styles of music deserve respect. They are all paving the way for their music to flourish. A variety of music from different cultures and histories. There’s always something new going on.”a fan wrote.

“Even the leader gave Felix a mic to answer because he knows how amazing his mind is.”one fan commented.
