New Windows 11 Photos app provides better integration with OneDrive and supports legacy video editor

Earlier today, Microsoft released a new build of Windows 11 25206 to the Dev channel and build 22621.601 to the Beta channel. Today, the company also launched the updated Photos app version 2022.31090.16004.0.

The new update brings with it new features. These include improved OneDrive integration that will make it easier to back up and view storage usage statistics. There’s also a new redesigned gallery for better photo management. The full list of changes is below:

  • Be productive with multiple windows and multiple screens.

  • Import and manage your photos from external sources like phone and camera.

However, the company notes that it has removed the outdated video editor because it believes Clipchamp is the best app for it. However, you can still select the legacy Photos app from the Microsoft Store .
