Xaviaer DuRousseau has issued a follow-up statement following his recent comments criticizing Beyoncé’s endorsement of Kamala Harris. In an exclusive conversation with The Shade Room, he emphasized his status as a “Beyoncé fan,”stating:
“Although the receipts may have shocked me, they do not negate my remarks made on FOX News. I remain a fan of Beyoncé. It’s not my fault she hasn’t been promoting her music, which led her album to vanish from the charts faster than Harriet Tubman fleeing at night. Perhaps the situation would have been different had she concentrated more on her music than on political endorsements.”
DuRousseau also mentioned Rihanna’s marketing acumen, remarking:
“Beyoncé supporters must recognize her shortcomings in promotion. She could learn a few marketing strategies from Ms. Fenty! I genuinely wish Beyoncé well, and that could start with supporting Donald Trump for president.”
This controversy ignited after Beyoncé took the stage at a campaign event in Houston, Texas, on October 25, extending her support to Kamala Harris for the forthcoming U.S. Presidential elections.
Subsequently, DuRousseau appeared on Fox News, where he remarked that Beyoncé should refrain from endorsing political figures and devote more energy to her music career.
“The BeyHive are domestic terrorists” — Unpacking Xaviaer DuRousseau’s comments on Beyoncé as he follows up on his statements
Xaviaer made headlines after his appearance on Fox News @ Night, discussing Beyoncé’s involvement at Harris’s rally on October 25, 2024. During his segment, he commented:
“She’s gathering all the celebrities she can for endorsements because she’s aware of her lack of substance. Her priority should be ensuring her album remains on the charts, but it seems to have already disappeared.”
Moreover, DuRousseau escalated his criticism by sharing a video clip of his interview on X, referring to the Beyhive, Beyoncé’s fan base, as “domestic terrorists.”
“The most daring thing I’ve done in my career is criticize Beyoncé on live television. The BeyHive are domestic terrorists.”
Interestingly, DuRousseau has previously expressed admiration for Beyoncé and her husband. In June 2023, he tweeted:
“Conservatives attack me every time I say this, but I’m enamored with the Carters and defend them as though I’m on their payroll. Jay-Z and Beyoncé are a royal family.”
Xaviaer DuRousseau describes himself on his website as a “political media personality and a cultural, political commentator from Gen Z.” While his Fox News interview brought him significant attention and backlash, it’s not his first media appearance; he has participated in various platforms including Fox Business, Timcast Media, and Piers Morgan.
As discussions continue to circulate on social media regarding this incident, neither Beyoncé nor Kamala Harris has commented publicly on the matter.
