“Not Here to Form a Fake Alliance” – The Circle Star Madelyn Confronts Rachel Over Betrayal

The Circle Season 7 Episode 12 premiered on September 25, serving as the penultimate episode before the highly anticipated season finale. In this unique social media strategy show, contestants are tasked with creating a profile to engage in the game. They have the option to play as their authentic selves or construct a catfish profile to deceive their fellow cast members.

In either case, forming alliances and securing a top position in the rankings is crucial to becoming the influencer and ultimately winning the show. Earlier in the season, Madelyn and Rachel switched profiles, which led to the formation of their alliance.

However, tensions arose during a recent group chat when Rachel made remarks towards Madelyn, leaving Madelyn puzzled about the sudden turn of events from her alliance partner. Seeking clarification, Madelyn invited Rachel for a private chat in Episode 12 to address the situation. Madelyn initiated the conversation with the following message:

“Hi Rachel, you’re probably surprised to be hearing from me. I’m not here to form a fake alliance. I simply just want the truth. What caused you to turn on me? Did I do something or was it just gameplay?”

Madelyn Seeks Answers from Rachel in The Circle Season 7 Episode 12

Madelyn wished to avoid conflict within The Circle Chat but was taken aback by Rachel’s suggestion that she lacked trust in her. All Madelyn desired was clarity and resolution from the unfolding drama.

Rachel, expecting the private chat invitation from Madelyn, was prepared for the confrontation. Before accepting, Rachel remarked:

“I might have said a few things, and you might have said a few things. We threw some bad information out there about each other… I’m here for it.”

When Madelyn pressed for an explanation, Rachel took a composed stance, knowing she needed Madelyn’s support in the imminent rankings. Rachel replied:

“I would like to start by saying in the last rating I rated you high and was shocked by where you ended up. I had a very emotional talk with Garret. We shared a lot, but one thing he said was you might not have my back.”

Madelyn felt unsatisfied with Rachel’s response, sensing that Rachel wasn’t being entirely truthful. She conveyed what loyalty meant to her, stating that she had always remained loyal to both Rachel and Kevin.

Madelyn further revealed that she made sure Kevin cultivated a good rapport with Rachel, believing that her bond with Rachel was the strongest. It broke her heart to realize that Rachel did not hold their relationship in the same regard.

Rachel acknowledged Madelyn’s feelings, agreeing that she had indeed been honest and appreciating Madelyn’s support. She admitted that they were nearing the end of the game, and it was natural for emotions to run high as alliances seemed to crumble. Rachel responded to Madelyn’s text:

“I have had your back since the swap. Every person we wanted to block, WE’VE done it together. I was sobbing speaking with Garrett and when I saw his video, I cried more. I let my emotions get the best of me in The Circle Chat and I shouldn’t have. I’m so sorry. #SwapSistersForever.”

Madelyn began to trust Rachel again after reading her message. She replied, admitting that she also should not have spoken against Rachel in The Circle group chat. Madelyn accepted Rachel’s apology and offered her own as well.

The Circle Season 7 Episodes 1–12 are now available for streaming on Netflix.
