“Not Beneficial for Her Game” — Big Brother Season 26’s Angela Talks About Makensy’s Eviction Decision

The recently evicted Big Brother contestant, Angela Murray, discussed Makensy’s choice to evict her from the competition. The double eviction in Season 26, Episode 33, which aired on September 26, 2024, shocked the remaining houseguests as both Leah and Angela were sent home.

In a conversation with US Weekly on September 27, 2024, Angela shared that she and Leah were eager to collaborate with Makensy. The Big Brother contestant suggested they could form an alliance if they weren’t nominated. However, she critiqued Makensy’s decision as “not good for the game.” Angela expressed:

“MJ’s decision to nominate Leah and myself this week was nothing short of gullible and impressionable and honestly not good for her game. She should have saved us and kept us there. Instead, she’ll probably be the next one walking out the door.”

For context, in the previous episode, Head of Household and Power of Veto winner Makensy Manbeck had replaced Kimo with Leah as the eviction nominee. Alongside Leah Peters, Angela was selected by Makensy and faced elimination. Ultimately, Leah was evicted with a unanimous 4-0 vote.

Fortuitously for Kimo, he claimed victory in the next Power of Veto competition and utilized it to save himself when the new Head of Household, Chelsie, nominated Angela. Chelsie then replaced Kimo with Rubina while Angela remained on the block. The resulting 3-0 vote ultimately led to Angela’s eviction.

Angela Murray Discusses Alliances and Rivalries on Big Brother

In her latest interview, Angela speculated that Makensy could be the next to leave. She revealed that had she won the Head of Household competition instead of Chelsie, her nominations likely would have included Chelsie, Kimo, or Rubina. The 50-year-old stated:

“That’s a no-brainer. I would’ve nominated Chelsie and Kimo or Rubina. Probably Chelsie and Rubina.”

Discussing her conflicts with fellow houseguests Matt Hardeman and Lisa Weintraub, Angela assured that she bore “no hard feelings.”She emphasized that “it was a game,”and the strategy involved in identifying threats is part of the show’s nature. Angela told US Weekly that there were no “personal”motives for anyone’s decisions:

“I don’t regret any of the things that happened and I look forward to mending fences with both [Matt and Lisa] and I wish nothing but happiness and love and I know that great things will happen for them in their lives.”

Angela conveyed well wishes of “love and happiness”to Matt and Lisa, while expressing her hopes of reconnecting and “mending fences.”During her exit interview, she acknowledged that voting her out was a prudent move, as she had the potential to go far in the competition.

In an emotional reflection, the Big Brother star expressed gratitude for her journey, appreciating the “friends and family”she discovered in the BB house. Angela shared that she harbored no animosity and felt a profound connection with all participants, whom she affectionately referred to as her “sons and daughters.”
