“Non-stop stream of lies and bullying”: Ioan Gruffudd’s fiancée Bianca Wallace says she was forced to share MS diagnosis through “abuse campaign”

Bianca Wallace, who rose to fame in the past but has since become less popular, announced her engagement to Ioan Gruffudd earlier this year. However, she recently revealed that she has been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.

Actress Bianca Wallace opened up about her battle with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) since 2018 on Friday, March 29, which marks Multiple Sclerosis month.

“During 2018-2021 it was a particularly difficult period in my life.”

Wallace implied that he was being pulled into Alice Evans’ “abuse campaign”against her ex-husband, Ioan Gruffudd, following their separation. After their split, Evans reportedly shared Bianca’s MS diagnosis on the internet, causing the actress to receive unwanted attention and adding to her struggles in dealing with the disease.

Wallace began her post by expressing her desire to share her personal story of being the target of public bullying and her struggles with MS. She went on to detail how Evans had relentlessly bullied and spread lies about her on social media and in the media over the course of several years.

Bianca Wallace shares her experience of being manipulated in Evans’ post-separation abuse campaign

Bianca Wallace shared on Instagram on January 20 that she and 51-year-old Ioan Gruffudd are engaged.

Prior to his relationship with Bianca Wallace, Ioan Gruffudd was previously married to Alice Evans, who is 55 years old. After being married for nearly 14 years, Alice announced their separation in January 2021. Two months later, Ioan filed for divorce. In February 2022, a year after the initial divorce filing, Gruffudd filed a restraining order against Evans citing domestic violence. This order also extended protection to his current girlfriend, Bianca Wallace.

Wallace initially referred to the period between 2018 and 2021 as a difficult time for her, remarking:

“An aggressive MS diagnosis, decided life was short and changed careers, I left an abusive marriage after many years, lived on my own for a year, began healing, worked on my health, fell in love with someone from 11,000km away during a worldwide travel ban, I was police relocated from my home in Brisbane, and then after three years of battling for myself and my life, and after months of being assisted by Queensland Police with visa, etc, I finally arrived in France on 25 September 2021, where I would begin my new journey and new life.”

Bianca then addressed the fact that her MS diagnosis was made public during the campaign, resulting in a loss of privacy and safety. She also disclosed that she had received numerous hateful messages, with individuals expressing their desire for her to die from MS or to take her own life.

According to reports, Walalce’s harrowing experience resulted in two MS attacks in 2022 – one affecting her brain and the other her spine. After enduring two months of harassment, Bianca made the decision to share her story publicly.

Wallace explained that the reason she chose to bring it up at this time was:

“because it’s not ok! Because we have no idea what a person is really going through in life and don’t have the right to assume. I didn’t deserve to have the MS exposed, made so much worse by the lies and harassment attached.”

Bianca Wallace concluded her message by expressing her belief that it is important to “do better”and to show respect for individuals diagnosed with chronic illnesses by giving them the necessary time and space to come to terms with their condition on their own.

In July 2023, Gruffudd and Evans’ divorce was officially finalized after five months. Shortly after, he announced his engagement to Wallace.
