“No Red Flags” – Love is Blind Star Ashley Responds to Tyler’s Warning About His Past Experiences

The finale of Love is Blind season 7 is just around the bend, and as the episodes unfold, viewers have gained valuable insights into the experiences of each contestant navigating the quest for love within the pods. Those couples who became engaged and were on the brink of marriage encountered various challenges as they determined their compatibility outside of the show.

A standout couple that formed a strong connection in the pods is Ashley and Tyler. During the initial episodes (1-6), audiences were treated to an exploration of their relationship as they enjoyed their time together, having already spent time face-to-face. In one revealing moment, Tyler shared that Ashley might have “hated him”if she had encountered him in his previous life. He elaborated on his past as a less-than-kind individual, expressing that he joined the show to seek love after embarking on a journey of self-improvement.

Fortunately for Tyler, Ashley viewed this revelation not as a “red flag,”but rather as a positive sign of self-awareness. In an exclusive interview with People Magazine on October 6, 2024, she stated:

“To me, that shows self-awareness. Everyone carries their own baggage, but the beauty lies in acknowledging it and aspiring to be a better version of oneself. So, no concerns here.”

Tyler’s Reflection on His Past Behavior in Love is Blind

Within season 7 of Love is Blind, Tyler conveyed to Ashley that she had entered his life at a pivotal moment, as his previous acquaintances weren’t particularly kind in their assessments of him.

During his conversation with People Magazine, Tyler acknowledged his tendency to sever ties with people and emphasized his desire to be transparent about his past with Ashley. He expressed that he didn’t want to mislead her should she hear from others that he had garnered a reputation of being “an a*s hole.”As he explained:

“I felt it was important to share who I was in the past. I’m here to find love, but dating can be complicated. I just didn’t want to waste anyone’s time. My approach is to be straightforward, honestly.”

Nonetheless, Ashley appreciated Tyler’s candidness, interpreting it as a form of “honesty” that she valued. She felt reassured by the progress Tyler had made as a person and his ability to reflect on his prior behavior. He further remarked during their interview:

“It’s fortunate for Ashley to meet me now because she would have disliked my past self. Back then, I was like, ‘Hey, you’re cute. Want to go on a date?’ Just a heads up—people might say, ‘He’s not the nicest.’ But, honestly, I didn’t give them a reason to be kind.”
