“There are so many things that I would want to change” — Chappell Roan’s previous statement revisited as singer clarifies stance
Chappell Roan has once again made headlines as she attempted to clarify her stance on the upcoming US Presidential elections. The confusion stemmed from her interview with The Guardian, published on September 20, 2024, which garnered critical comments from the public due to her outspoken critique of the current government.
During her interview, Chappell Roan remarked:
“I have so many issues with our government in every way. There are so many things that I would want to change. I don’t feel pressured to endorse someone. There are problems on both sides. I encourage people to use your critical thinking skills, use your vote – vote small, vote for what’s going on in your city.”
Chappell Roan concluded by discussing the transformative “change” she hopes to see in the country, emphasizing the need for the government to focus on “trans rights.” She stated:
“They cannot have cis people making decisions for trans people, period.”
The elections in the United States are scheduled to occur in just over a month, on November 5, 2024.
Initially, Joe Biden was set to run against Donald Trump; however, the current President has since withdrawn his candidacy and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as the new candidate.
