No Man’s Sky Unveils Relics Update with Exciting New Features

Hello Games continues to enhance the universe of No Man’s Sky with its latest content update, the Relics Update (patch 5.6).Following the impressive Worlds Part II update, this new patch offers players an opportunity to unearth hidden fossils on various planets, enriching their exploration experience.
With the new update, players can now discover procedurally generated prehistoric bones from various alien species. Hello Games has introduced hundreds of unique fossil variations that players can collect for display. The creative possibilities are extensive, as players can showcase these bones individually or assemble them into larger mounts, recreating entire extinct creatures based on their innovative designs.
In addition to personal displays, there’s an exciting opportunity to trade or sell these bones in the galactic market. Players can also visit new museums constructed by fellow players to view these collections, enhancing community interactions.
However, the journey to uncover these ancient relics will not be without challenges. To safeguard these fossil beds, Hello Games has introduced two new Guardian types: reanimated stones and colossal living statues, each equipped with unique attacks to thwart excavators. For players eager for new adventures, the Relics Update introduces a limited-time expedition, allowing players to assume the role of a space paleontologist. This expedition will run for six weeks, and those who successfully complete it will be rewarded with a unique “fleshless creature of animated bone”as a memento. The update also includes newly discovered skeletal lifeforms across planets, a titanic bone-worm, and even bone-related cooking recipes, further expanding the creative gameplay possibilities.
The No Man’s Sky Relics Update is now available on multiple platforms, including PC (Steam and Xbox app), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Game Pass, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. To explore the full range of features introduced in this patch, read the complete changelog here.
