“No ice cream?”- Ons Jabeur reacts to Leylah Fernandez’s smoothie-themed April Fool’s joke

Canadian tennis sensation Leylah Fernandez recently pulled a playful prank on her followers by sharing a video of herself making a smoothie. The video caught the attention of fellow player Ons Jabeur, who playfully questioned its authenticity.

Fernandez detailed her process for preparing her morning smoothie, listing the necessary ingredients such as avocados, bananas, and spinach in a video shared on her Instagram account.

Jabeur, the former World No. 2, inquired about the absence of ice cream in the video, to which Fernandez responded with disappointment, stating that there was none.

Fernandez proceeded to provide an explanation for her choice of ingredients and the amount of calories they contribute to the smoothie.

“I always start with a good avocado. I do love avocados. We will add some bananas. I do put some spinach. I don’t like to eat salad, so we always put it in smoothies,”the Canadian said.

After that, there was a twist. Leylah Fernandez began incorporating tuna and jalapeno peppers into her smoothie, providing an explanation for their inclusion.

“I know this might be a little weird for some people but I do enjoy some tuna. It’s good for protein. So, you know we are going to add some tuna to it (smoothie). A lot of people think it is wrong but we do need a jalapeno pepper. I am Latina. I love spicy food,”she said, barely controlling her laughter.

The smoothie was soon ready, but the Canadian hesitated to drink it and burst into laughter before saying:

“I ain’t drinking this. Come on guys. Did you really think I was going to mix tuna and jalapeno into my morning smoothie?”

Next, she demonstrated her typical method for preparing the smoothie, which involved using avocados, frozen bananas, almond milk, cocoa powder, and peanut butter as the main ingredients.

“How long did it take you to realize that it is April’s fools? In all seriousness Smoothie No. 2 was delicious. Very good. Cheers guys,”Leylah said inthe video.
