“No free pass” – Sean Strickland challenges Michael Chiesa to a fight after ‘Maverick’ refutes his statements about dog-loving men

Sean Strickland issued a challenge to UFC veteran Michael Chiesa following the latter’s criticism of his opinions on dog lovers.

In recent years, Strickland has become increasingly popular due to his sociopolitical statements, which have been described by many as intentionally controversial and divisive.

The 33-year-old argued that men who do not have children, such as himself, may feel as though their lives are lacking. He stressed the importance of starting a family in order to fully embody true masculinity.

Additionally, Strickland emphasized that the United States of America, in his view, was established by courageous individuals who participated in battles, were patriotic, and believed in a higher power. He asserted that modern-day America is comprised of men who prioritize the well-being of their pets over their own personal fulfillment, dubbing them “Boys with Dog Children.”

In the meantime, ‘Tarzan’ emphasized that he holds no grudge against MMA enthusiast and founder of Barstool Sports Dave Portnoy, and he even praised the latter’s political beliefs. However, he did point out that Portnoy and similar individuals tend to get dogs as a substitute for having children, which he believes may be an attempt to fill a void in their lives.

One of Strickland’s tweets was written in the following manner:

“My girl watches the tiktok sadly, she keeps showing me Miss peaches, the barstool sports guys dog. And I asked my girl “does this man have kids”no. Let me tell you all something if you’re a grown a** childless man obsessed about a dog you gotta rethink your life.. rich or poor.”

Chies countered Strickland’s tweet by suggesting that the former middleweight champion should reconsider his stance.

“If you’re a grown a** childless man hating on someone for loving a dog… you gotta rethink your life. Rich or poor.”

Strickland alluded to a potential altercation between them in his response, writing:

”@MikeMav22 I’m not saying you’re wrong but you talk a lot of shit to me and you haven’t earned that right. You’re not just a random person on X. No free pass. I think it’s time you get an opportunity to be my equal. Not at the PI but I think it’s time.”
