A Look Back: Previous Nintendo Directs in 2026
This will mark the third Nintendo Direct of the year, following the Super Mario Galaxy Movie Direct and the Tomadachi Life: Living the Dream Direct that occurred last month. Notably, it is also the first Partner Showcase since July 2025.
Event Details and Expectations
Following the announcement on the Nintendo Today! mobile app, the official Nintendo of America account confirmed that the showcase will last approximately 30 minutes. Viewers can expect to see content related to both the Nintendo Switch and the anticipated Nintendo Switch 2.
However, it is important to note that, as this is a ‘Partner Showcase, ’ we should not anticipate any updates regarding Nintendo’s first-party properties. Instead, the focus will be on exciting offerings from third-party developers.
