Ninja Theory has officially declared that Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 will be launching on PlayStation 5 this upcoming summer. This exciting announcement came through a video shared on the studio’s official X account, featuring studio head, Dom Matthews, who shared the exciting news with fans.
While a specific release date was not disclosed, Matthews indicated that the PS5 version would roll out alongside an update on both Xbox and PC versions. This update will introduce new features that enhance the gameplay experience across all platforms.
“We’re so happy to tell you, our fans, that Hellblade 2 will be coming to PlayStation 5 this summer, ” Matthews stated.“This version of the game will include some new features, which will also be coming to Xbox and PC at the same time as an update.”
It is noteworthy that Ninja Theory, although now a part of Xbox Game Studios, has a deep-rooted history with PlayStation. Additionally, longtime PlayStation fans may recall that Ninja Theory was instrumental in creating the PlayStation 3 launch title, Heavenly Sword.
“We have such incredible fans of Ninja Theory on PlayStation, going all the way back to the days of Heavenly Sword, and we’re so pleased that we can welcome PlayStation fans back to Senua’s story, ” Matthews added.“And so the team has been working hard to optimize Hellblade 2 for both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro to give you the very best experience we can, and we look forward to sharing more details with you soon.”
The upcoming PS5 release will be titled Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 Enhanced, setting it apart from its predecessors. Gamers can already add it to their wishlists on PS5 consoles, generating considerable enthusiasm and anticipation within the gaming community.
As the release approaches, fans are eager to see how Ninja Theory enhances this sequel to deliver an unforgettable gaming experience.
