Collecting the Jewel of the Demon Seal

After handling the mechs and making a visit to the shop located in D1-1, proceed through the back wall door to enter D1-2. Here, navigate to the back-right corner, eliminating any enemies in your path. A chest awaits, containing the Jewel of the Demon Seal.
Finding Life of the Gods #1
Next, make your way to the back-left corner of D1-2, where a save station is located. Move through the nearby door to access D1-4 and D1-5. After opening the chests here, proceed through the door at the back-right corner into D1-7.
Fight your way along the walkway in this area, navigating around a sharp U-turn until you reach a chest holding a Life of the Gods.
Acquiring Crystal Skull #1
Now, backtrack to the U-turn, utilizing your preferred weapon from Ninja Gaiden 2 Black to defeat any mechs on your way. Proceed through the door into D1-8. The large square platform in this room functions as a lift; use it to descend into D2-9.
After taking down the enemy in D2-9, pass through the door in the back wall to access the control room. Deal with the enemies that appear, and then strike the device to the left of the control panel to reveal a Crystal Skull. Make sure to collect it and then save your game.
Finding Life of the Gods #2
Head back to the previous room and clear out the foes dropping from the ceiling; using a Ninpo ability might be beneficial here. Upon clearing enemies, move through the large door to reach D2-8. A significant mechanical device resides in the center, with a chest containing another Life of the Gods near the back-left corner.
Acquiring Lives of the Thousand Gods
Having secured the final Life of the Gods, exit D2-8 via the door located in its back-right corner. Move through the first door on your right, battle through the glass walkway, and enter the atomic engine room. Within, players will discover six illuminated panels. Attack these panels to destroy them before backtracking across the glass walkway.
Upon reaching the end of the walkway, head right and enter the door in the wall to access D2-3. An open area featuring a shop and save station greets you just past the entrance. Players may wish to make a quick stop here before continuing down the corridor.
As players reach the end of the corridor in D2-3, they should take the door on their left to enter the barracks. An elevator is situated on the left wall, which players can use.
After the elevator ride, players enter a room with seven more destroyable panels. Following their destruction, climb the ladder located in the corner to access two chests, one of which contains a Lives of the Thousand Gods.
Locating Crystal Skull #2
Players may now go through the door adjacent to the Lives of the Thousand Gods chest, where they should eliminate the enemies in the new area. Next, utilize the save station located in the back-right corner of the room before descending through an opening in the floor and climbing down the ladder.
Upon reaching the bottom of the ladder and passing through the door, players will find themselves back in D1-2. Walk a few steps to the right and check the pile of rubble on your right to locate the last Crystal Skull of the level.
This concludes the collectible pursuit in Chapter 9.
Making Your Way to Boss #1
To advance, continue through the D1-2 corridor until reaching the door leading to D1-1. Engage the mechs that appear in this area, and step onto the large square platform to descend.
Upon reaching the end of the descent, use the door on your right and equip a ranged weapon to destroy the three turrets firing at you. Then, traverse to the door across the room, make a save, and enter D2-11.
Fight through the path leading to the atomic engine room. In this area, utilize the door in the back-right corner to access the glass walkway, triggering a brief cutscene.
As soon as control shifts back to Ryu, proceed through the nearby door into D2-6. Continue along the path, navigating through doors as they appear until triggering another cutscene.
Following the second cutscene, make your way across the glass walkway, through the atomic engine room, and use the door in the front-right corner. Players are now on a path leading to another wing. Again, equip a ranged weapon to destroy the turrets, then cross to the other side. There, players will encounter Genshin, Ninja Overlord, and the boss battle will commence as soon as they enter.
Defeating Boss #1
Genshin, the Ninja Overlord, proves to be a manageable opponent for players accustomed to the gameplay mechanics. However, here are some strategic pointers to consider:
- Stay near Genshin to minimize the chances of encountering void orbs. However, remain alert to dodge orbs when they arise.
- Utilize the block feature and be ready to sidestep after Genshin’s final attack in his combos, often preceded by a grunt.
- Once Genshin’s combo concludes, shift to an offensive stance with brief attack combos (like light-light-heavy); this way, players can minimize punishment from overextending.
Defeating Boss #2
Upon defeating Genshin, players will engage another boss, the Fire Armadillo. Success against this foe involves consistently targeting its tail with swift combos in Ninja Gaiden 2 Black while dodging falling boulders. Alternatively, players may elect to aim for the Fire Armadillo’s feet, but proximity to the tail generally ensures a safer encounter.
