“I disliked being skinny, having a flat butt, you know, and my b*obs not sitting as they should. It was quite a bit… When I revisit that time, I honestly think, ‘I’m about to transform back into that girl again.’”

In the November 2023 issue of Vogue, Nicki Minaj made headlines by announcing her recent decision for breast reduction surgery. She expressed her satisfaction with the outcome, stating:

“I can’t support body positivity if it promotes unhealthy body images. That’s just nonsense; it’s unrealistic. So let’s be truthful… I have recently gone through a breast reduction, and honestly, I love it.”

The Swalla artist further elaborated:

“I used to think I needed a larger derrière, and now I realize how foolish that was. So embrace your curves and also your non-curves. There is nothing wrong with either!”

In a subsequent video where she revisited her most memorable fashion moments with Vogue, she revealed that her experience at the 2022 Met Gala ultimately influenced her choice for breast surgery.

Reflecting on that particular event, the Young Money star recounted:

“I had my fittings, loved my hat and the overall vibe of the outfit, but I mentioned, ‘You guys, these b*obs are going to be spilling out,’” she remembered before stepping onto the red carpet. I was aware even before leaving that room that it was going to be a chaotic night for my bust.”
