NFL fans stunned by Jaguars QB Mac Jones’ hobby as a rapper: “Belichick diss track sitting on his computer”

Mac Jones’ recent position on the Jacksonville Jaguars requires him to stay prepared until he is able to take the field. The absence of the burden to lead an NFL team has evidently made him more outspoken and content, as evidenced by a video reposted by the JPAFootball page on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Upon being questioned about his interests, the ex-Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback responded:

“I don’t really have too many but I mean I golf a little bit. I like to go fishing, like to be on the beach. Like to do a little bit of rapping.”

Additionally, he elaborated:

“I do though. I do. I got a couple of songs but I don’t, nobody knows about it. So, I’m letting the world know now. I’m not in New England.”

Upon receiving this revelation, a Patriots fan made the following comment:

“Mac Jones taking shots at the Patriots while having fun in Jacksonville. This mf raps!? Belichick diss track sitting on his computer right tf now I bet…”

One more football enthusiast added:

“Bro left New England and is having the most fun since he was at bama 🤣”

Other fans also shared their reactions to the news that Mac Jones enjoys rapping as a hobby:

The NFL community will have to wait for him to release one of his tracks and post it online in order to witness his rapping abilities. Similarly, his humorous and boisterous demeanor appears to be an inherent aspect of his personality, leading to his nickname “The Joker.”

In an October 2020 episode of the SEC Network’s “Marty & McGee,”Jones shared the story behind his nickname.

As observed by some fans, he appears to be more relaxed now that he is with the Jacksonville Jaguars compared to his time with the New England Patriots. In addition to having a chance to rejuvenate his NFL career, he is thrilled to represent his hometown team.

Despite losing his starting position to Bailey Zappe, Mac Jones must remain confident when Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson calls upon him to take the field. Jones displayed potential during his rookie year, accumulating 3,801 yards and 22 touchdowns and even earning a Pro Bowl selection. The Jaguars can only hope to see that same version of Jones rather than the one who was replaced by Zappe.

The Jaguar’s Future: Analyzing Mac Jones’ Contract Options

In accordance with Spotrac, Mac Jones will receive a base salary of $2.7 million during the 2024 season, which marks the last year of his rookie-scale contract. Since he was chosen in the first round of the 2021 NFL draft by the Patriots, he is also eligible for a fifth-year option.

Despite the steep price of $25.6 million for his option, the Jaguars have the choice to either exercise it or offer him an extension that aligns with the market value for a backup quarterback.

It is possible that Jones could replace Trevor Lawrence as the starting quarterback, particularly if Lawrence continues to struggle with injuries and inconsistency. If this scenario unfolds, the $25.6 million investment in Jones could prove to be a great deal for a starting quarterback, considering the rising costs at the position.
