NFL analyst compares Jayden Daniels to Stefon Diggs’ new quarterback
Although it appeared unlikely that Jayden Daniels would end up playing alongside Stefon Diggs in 2024, the recent announcement of his new team ensures that they will not be teammates.
However, Louis Riddick drew comparisons between Daniels and C.J. Stroud on Wednesday’s episode of “Get Up,”which may have been how he perceived it. He expressed it as follows:
Louis Reddick: “[00:03:35] Jayden Daniels, when I stood next to him, it was very similar to how I felt when I was next to C.J. Stroud last year. This is a guy who has a commanding presence. He has a presence that people want to be around. His teammates flock to him.”
If the comparison is concluded in 2024, the team that acquires Daniels will secure a spot in the playoffs. As he is widely regarded as one of the top two draft picks, the potential suitors are few. The Chicago Bears hold the first pick, while the Washington Commanders hold the second. Therefore, it seems likely that the quarterback will end up in the NFC.
Drama surrounding draft picks and trades dominates 2024 NFL Draft headlines
Just a little over three weeks before the 2024 NFL Draft, Stefon Diggs has made the decision to join a different team. Although April is typically focused on draft coverage, Diggs’ transfer has caused quite a stir among fans earlier than anticipated.
According to Adam Schefter, the Houston Texans will acquire the wide receiver from the Buffalo Bills in exchange for a 2025 second-round pick. As part of the deal, the Bills will also send a 2024 sixth-round pick and a 2025 fifth-round pick to the Texans in addition to Diggs.
The addition of Joe Mixon and Tank Dell this offseason further strengthens an already impressive offense that saw a breakout in 2024 with the pairing of CJ Stroud and Tank Dell. These key new players will contribute to the team’s success on offense.
The trade has resulted in the Bills having a significant gap at wide receiver, as Curtis Samuel takes over as the top player on the roster. As a result, Bills supporters are anticipating the team using a first-round pick on a wide receiver in the 2024 NFL Draft, which will occur after Jayden Daniels is expected to be drafted.
