On Monday, November 4, 2024, Season 26 of The Voice delivered an exhilarating episode featuring the fifth and final round of the Battles. In this round, contestants from each team faced off, performing the same song selected by their coach. At the conclusion of each performance, the coaches had to make a tough decision, choosing one artist to advance to the next phase while the other’s journey on the show came to an end.
Coaches had access to two Steals each, allowing them to rescue eliminated contestants. This strategy provided a lifeline for some artists, giving them another chance in the competition. However, not every contestant secured a steal and faced elimination.
The Battle Round witnessed the departure of numerous talented singers who will not continue to the upcoming Knockouts. Fans eagerly anticipate the next phase of the competition as the remaining artists gear up to showcase their skills.
The Voice airs at 8 PM ET on NBC every Monday and Tuesday. However, the show will not be broadcasted on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, due to the presidential election coverage. The series will resume with a new episode on Monday, November 11, 2024, launching the exciting Knockouts phase.
Upcoming Highlights: The Knockouts
As fans await the first round of the Knockouts, here’s what they can expect. In this segment, one contestant from each team will face off against two of their teammates simultaneously. Unlike the Battles, the Knockouts allow artists to select a solo song to perform while their competitors watch in anticipation from the sidelines.
After each performance, the coaches will decide who advances to the playoffs, resulting in the elimination of the other two participants. This round introduces two illustrious mentors who will guide the contestants.
Joining the show are Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Sting and EGOT winner Jennifer Hudson. Sting will provide mentorship to the teams of Snoop Dogg and Gwen Stefani, while Jennifer Hudson will lend her expertise to Reba McEntire and Michael Buble’s teams. This marks Sting’s first mentoring experience on The Voice, while Hudson returns after serving as a coach in Season 15. Both mentors will bring their extensive musical knowledge to enhance the contestants’ performances.
