Capcom recently announced plans for an upcoming update for Monster Hunter Wilds, scheduled for release around March. The title has gained substantial popular acclaim, prompting developers to prioritize the rectification of existing gameplay issues to enrich the player experience.
This installment of the Monster Hunter franchise has earned favorable feedback, boasting an impressive average score of 90 on OpenCritic. Despite its accolades, the game has been marred by various glitches, which Capcom has consistently worked to address since its launch.
In the latest communications, Capcom has outlined known issues slated for resolution in the upcoming update, although an official release date remains unconfirmed. The issues are set to encompass 12 distinct problems, including a bug preventing the Meal Invitation event from triggering, removal of decorations from equipment, and graphical anomalies like floating debris. Notably, critical issues, such as a game-breaking glitch in the “Omens”mission in Chapter 5-1 and errors with incorrect monster part drops, will also be fixed. The patch notes should be viewed as preliminary, as the actual update may introduce additional enhancements or address further bugs not mentioned.

Additionally, the patch notes outline four unresolved issues that may not be resolved in this update, including a network error linked to SOS flares and unintended effects from Palico’s blunt weapon attacks. Since the game’s launch, Capcom has remained committed to addressing bugs, leading to ongoing improvements.
In a recent development, Capcom launched the first limited-time event for Monster Hunter Wilds called “Kut-Ku Gone Cuckoo.” This event, running until March 18, 2025, allows players to obtain special headgear by hunting Yian Kut-Ku.
The success of Monster Hunter Wilds is evident, with over 8 million copies sold within the first three days, marking it as Capcom’s fastest-selling title. This impressive performance likely generated over $500 million in revenue based on the game’s retail price of $70.
