Today marks a significant milestone for The Outlast Trials, as it unveils its latest major update titled Project Breach. This update introduces players to the gripping storyline of Amelia Collier, an asylum escapee driven by profound grief and anger. Amelia takes bold action against the Murkoff Corporation, seeking to dismantle their abhorrent experiments from the inside. Bringing this complex character to life is voice actress Caroline Dhavernas, celebrated for her roles in Hannibal and as the narrator in Child of Light. Players can expect a plethora of new content that not only presents formidable challenges but also expands the narrative experience.
The update introduces a brand new trial named “Pleasure the Prosecutor.” Players will also navigate a new urban environment, aptly named Downtown, where they will encounter Franco “Il Bambino”Barbi—a terrifying character known for his lethal shotgun. For those who thrive under pressure, this update packs in new challenges, such as Reunite the Family, where players must find and reunite an orphan with their parents, and Deface the Futtermans, which requires players to clear their mental clutter.
Enhancing the gameplay experience, the update includes a new player ability called Jammer Rig. This ability grants players the power to disable electronic devices throughout the trials, making it invaluable for those who can maintain composure in high-stress situations. Additions to the game don’t stop with new challenges and abilities; Project Breach also features an intimidating new enemy known as The Molotov. This adversary wields a fearsome ranged weapon capable of launching Molotov Cocktails that explode upon impact, creating hazardous fire zones that pose a serious threat to players navigating the trials.
For the cosmetic enthusiasts, a thrilling new Unholy Night DLC pack has also been released. This pack includes eight Legendary Outfits, decorative items for personalizing your cell, and player icons to enhance your experience in The Outlast Trials. The DLC is available for only $19.99, making it a tempting purchase for those looking to elevate their gameplay aesthetics.
