Mark your calendars! The second cour of Orb: On the Movement of the Earth launches on Saturday, January 11, 2025. Following a successful first cour consisting of 15 episodes, this next installment will feature 10 additional episodes, bringing the total to an impressive 25. Fans can also look forward to the introduction of two new voice actors to the cast.

The new cast members, Miyuri Shimabukuro and Satoshi Hino, will join a returning main cast featuring:

  • Maaya Sakamoto as Rafal
  • Kenjiro Tsuda as Nowak
  • Show Hayami as Hubert
  • Katsuyuki Konishi as Eyes
  • Yuichi Nakamura as Badeni
  • I’m Hitomi as Jolenta
  • Miyuri Shimabukuro as Draka
  • Satoshi Hino as Schmidt

The production team remains unchanged, with Kenichi Shimizu directing, Masanori Shino handling character design, and Kensuke Ushio composing the music. The anime continues to be brought to life by Madhouse.

The manga, which serves as the foundation for this anime series, began serialization in September 2020 and concluded in April 2022. It has garnered critical acclaim and received several nominations, winning accolades across various platforms. While exact sales figures are unavailable, it’s speculated that the manga may have surpassed one million copies in sales.

The anime adaptation announcement came in June 2022, with eager fans awaiting its debut, which finally occurred in October 2024. The first opening theme, titled Kaiju, was performed by the band Sakanaction, and the first ending theme was by Yorushika. For the second cour, the new ending theme is titled Hebi, also performed by Yorushika.
