Rufus, a well-known tool for creating USB media, has recently rolled out version 4.6 beta, which enables users to circumvent the system prerequisites for Windows 11 24H2. For those unfamiliar, Rufus employs a PowerShell script named Fido, which provides access to official Microsoft Windows retail ISO download links.
The Fido script is crafted by developer Belim, known for creating various third-party apps that enhance Windows functionality, including a recent one-click Registry editor. His new tool, named Flyby11, is designed to simplify the process of bypassing the eligibility requirements for Windows 11 (24H2) with just a few clicks.
Flyby11 incorporates the Server setup bypass technique, which essentially ignores checks for criteria such as CPU compatibility, TPM, and Secure Boot. According to the developer:
Flyby11 is a straightforward patching tool that eliminates the frustrating restrictions that prevent Windows 11 (24H2) from being installed on unsupported machines. Do you have an outdated PC? No TPM or Secure Boot? Or is your CPU not on the supported list? With Flyby11, you can install Windows 11 24H2 regardless.
This application utilizes a feature within the Windows 11 installation process that resorts to the Windows Server version, which, unlike the standard installation method, forgoes numerous hardware compatibility checks, enabling the operation on unsupported hardware.
The first version of this tool is now available on GitHub, though the developer has not published any release notes detailing changes as it is an initial launch.
The screenshot below illustrates the native method recommended by the developer, which bypasses the requirements through the Server Setup method (as mentioned earlier) to facilitate an in-place upgrade to Windows 11. The alternative method involves utilizing the Registry modification introduced in the latest Rufus update.
If you are interested in trying it out, you can access the Flyby11 application from its official GitHub repository here. As always, it is advisable to experiment with unofficial applications in a virtual machine. However, like other bypass techniques, the installation of Windows 11 24H2 will not be successful on older CPUs that do not support SSE4.2 and PopCnt instructions.
It’s important to note that the app has not yet been digitally signed, so Microsoft Defender may flag it as potentially unsafe.
