New Magic Keyboard for M3 iPad Air Closely Resembles M4 iPad Pro Design and Functionality, But at a More Affordable Price

Apple has recently unveiled its latest innovation, the M3-equipped iPad Air, through an official press release. This new addition showcases impressive advancements over the previous tablet series. The iPad Air is now offered in two sizes—11 inches and 13 inches—both powered by the state-of-the-art M3 chip, promising enhanced performance and energy efficiency. Notably, beyond the hardware upgrades, the revamped Magic Keyboard has piqued our interest, particularly because it comes with premium features yet is priced more affordably.

Exploring the New Magic Keyboard and iPad Air Enhancements

The revamped Magic Keyboard is packed with features that were once exclusive to the iPad Pro’s accessories. This includes an expanded function key row and a larger trackpad, both of which aim to improve user experience. Apple seems committed to enhancing its tablet ecosystem not only by offering a more versatile accessory but also by introducing competitive pricing that enhances accessibility for users.

Pricing for the new Magic Keyboard stands at $269 for the 11-inch variant and $319 for the 13-inch model. While it shares several features with the M4 iPad Pro keyboard, the primary distinction lies in the absence of haptic feedback on the iPad Air version’s trackpad, which could alter how users interact with the device.

Additionally, the aluminum palm rest found in the Pro version is missing from the iPad Air accessory, although many other features closely resemble those of the Pro model. According to Apple’s press release, the new Magic Keyboard enhances user precision:

The all-new Magic Keyboard for iPad Air expands what users can do at an even lower price. The larger built-in trackpad brings greater precision for detail-oriented tasks, and a new 14-key function row allows easy access to features like screen brightness and volume controls. The new Magic Keyboard attaches magnetically, and the Smart Connector immediately connects power and data without the need for Bluetooth; a machined aluminum hinge also includes a USB-C connector for charging.

The latest Magic Keyboard offers a compelling mix of functionality and price, making it a strong choice for users looking for professional features without breaking the bank.
