New HD Remaster Mod for The Witcher III: Wild Hunt Introduces Missing Items

Continued Innovation in The Witcher III: Wild Hunt Modding Community

The modding community surrounding The Witcher III: Wild Hunt remains vibrant and active, especially following the release of the REDkit mod tool by CD Projekt RED last year. One standout enhancement is the The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project NextGen Edition, crafted by modder HalkHogan, which significantly upgrades the game’s visuals. However, even this impressive mod does not encompass every item in the expansive world, leaving room for further improvements.

  • New fruits (green and red grapes, watermelon)

Future Developments for the Mod

In a recent update on the mod page, kwest0rek indicated plans to finalize the food model upgrades before shifting focus to remastering models of deceased NPCs and animals. This is a much-needed enhancement for The Witcher III: Wild Hunt, even within the Next-Gen Edition, enriching the game’s immersive experience further.

The Witcher Franchise Updates

In related news, CD Projekt RED has hinted at forthcoming developments in the The Witcher franchise. The fourth installment is set to incorporate elements from author Andrzej Sapkowski’s latest novel, Crossroads of Ravens, which has recently been released in English. Moreover, fans can look forward to the premiere of the fourth season of the Netflix adaptation, slated for October.
