Introducing Ifa: Genshin Impact’s Newest Anemo Character

HoYoVerse has recently unveiled the drip marketing campaign for Ifa, an exciting addition to the Genshin Impact lineup set to be released in an upcoming update. While details about his rarity and weapon type remain elusive, it has been confirmed that he will belong to the Anemo element.

Character Design and Background

Ifa is noteworthy for being the first playable Anemo character utilizing the Tall Male model, diverging from previous male characters who employed the smaller model. In terms of lore, Ifa is introduced as a Saurian veterinarian hailing from the Flower-Feather Clan, and he maintains a close friendship with Ororon. Accompanying Ifa is Cacucu, a Qucusaurus assistant, who is depicted in his splash art.

Voice Cast

The voice of Ifa in English is brought to life by Johnny Loquasto, known for his previous role as Glo in Reverse: 1999 and his work as a sports broadcaster for WWE’s NXT. In Chinese, the character is voiced by Lu Shujun, whose portfolio includes roles like Hung in Arknights and various characters in Food Fantasy. The Japanese voice will be provided by Junta Terashima, taking over from Showtaro Morikubo, with a history of roles such as Sugiura in Judgment and Yukimura in Inazuma Eleven Go.

Availability and Release Information

Genshin Impact is currently accessible on multiple platforms including PS4, PS5, Windows PC, and mobile devices. Ifa is expected to make his debut in the Genshin Impact Version 5.6 banner, which is scheduled to launch on May 7, 2025.
