New Dragon’s Dogma 2 Update Improves DLSS Quality and Adds Ray Tracing and FPS Cap Options on PS5

Capcom has recently launched an update for Dragon’s Dogma 2 on both PC and PS5. The update enhances DLSS quality, resolves any existing issues, introduces a FPS cap option for PS5, and includes additional improvements.

The title update is now accessible for both PS5 and PC (via Steam), according to Capcom. The Xbox Series X|S update is expected to be released within the next few days. In addition to the mentioned updates and additions, this patch introduces the ability to enable or disable ray tracing on PS5. While Capcom has confirmed that the new ray tracing and motion blur options on PS5 do not significantly affect performance, they have also assured players that future updates will bring improvements to the framerate.

The new update for Sony’s console allows users to disable or enable motion blur. The update also includes a highly requested feature from the community – the ability to begin a new game even when previous save data is present.

The complete release notes for the latest update of Dragon’s Dogma 2 can be accessed on Capcom’s official website.

You can now play Dragon’s Dogma 2 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S worldwide. As we reported yesterday, a recent survey from Capcom suggests that they may be planning DLC for the game. Curious about our thoughts on the highly-praised sequel from Capcom? Check out our review of the game here, where we have also included an excerpt from our review:

“After experimenting with the Fighter, Warrior, and Thief Vocations, I ultimately settled on the Mystic Spearhand. This Vocation offered a perfect blend of fluid melee combat and useful spells. However, I was disappointed to discover that the NPC who unlocks the Vocation (which is not immediately available in the game) did not offer any further specialization. Typically, NPCs known as Maisters bestow unique abilities or spells after completing certain tasks. Although I received some for the Warrior and Thief, none were available for the Mystic Spearhand. It is possible that players must seek out a different NPC, as Dragon’s Dogma 2 is known for its open-ended gameplay.”
