New Insights on Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army
During the recent Nintendo Direct in March 2025, fans were treated to the exciting announcement of Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army. Accompanying this reveal, Atlus released an informative spotlight video entitled “The Return of Raidou Kuzunoha, ” now available in English and running for a captivating 22 minutes.
A Glimpse Into the Game’s History
This spotlight video traces the roots of Raidou Remastered back to its original incarnation as a PS2 game titled Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. The Soulless Army, which debuted in 2006. Unlike many of Atlus’ traditional turn-based RPG offerings, this title embraces an action-RPG format. Players take on the role of the protagonist, Raidou, who has the unique capability to summon Demons to aid him in combat. In this innovative setup, while Demons engage automatically in battle sequences, Raidou can give them commands both during and between encounters to tackle diverse detective missions.
Significant Combat Enhancements
Although Raidou Remastered is rooted in the first game of the series, Atlus has emphasized that the combat mechanics will draw inspiration from its successor, Devil Summoner 2: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon. Players can expect a multitude of enhancements, including the ability for Raidou to summon two Demons simultaneously during fights. Furthermore, the remaster includes a comprehensive graphical overhaul alongside numerous user interface (UI) improvements, designed to enhance gameplay readability in the heat of battle.
Exciting New Features and Quality of Life Improvements
The remastered edition will also introduce new Demons from recently launched titles like Shin Megami Tensei V among other modern Atlus releases, allowing players to fuse or recruit these entities. In addition, Raidou can acquire new skills that take advantage of enemy weaknesses, enriching the tactical gameplay experience. Other notable upgrades consist of fast travel options, adjustable difficulty settings, auto-save functions, and various other enhancements, aiming to streamline the gaming experience.

Release Information
