New DDR5 Overclocking World Record: Overclocker Achieves 12806 MT/s on Z890 Taichi OCF, Breaking 12,800 MT/s Barrier

Saltycroissant, a Canadian overclocker, has made headlines by achieving a groundbreaking DDR5 memory frequency of 12, 806 MT/s on the Z890 platform. This remarkable feat not only sets a new world record but also represents a significant milestone in memory overclocking.

Overclocker Saltycroissant Tops DDR5 Records with 12806 MT/s on Z890 Taichi OCF

Initially, it was anticipated that the recent record set by fellow overclocker bl4ckdot, who hit an impressive 12, 774 MT/s, would stand for some time. However, within just one day, saltycroissant surpassed this achievement, further highlighting the rapid advancements in overclocking capabilities within the community.

Previously known for setting multiple DDR5 world records, saltycroissant has once again proven his prowess in this competitive field. Utilizing Corsair Vengeance DDR5 modules in conjunction with the ASRock Z890 Taichi OCF motherboard—widely regarded as a top choice among overclockers—he reached this unprecedented speed.

Saltycroissant DDR5 Record Achievement

Employing a nitrogen cooling system alongside an Intel Core Ultra 7 265K processor, saltycroissant has etched his name in history by finally breaking the 12, 800 MT/s barrier. Prior records had consistently been clustered around the 12, 700-12, 800 MT/s zone, and bl4ckdot’s previous achievement was marginally higher than that of Seby’s record.

The results from this astonishing overclocking endeavor have been publicly validated and are available on HWBot, with CPU-Z also confirming the achievement at this link.

Impressively, the new record was set with the same cache latency (CL68-127-127-127-2) as bl4ckdot’s prior entry, demonstrating that there remains considerable headroom for further optimization without sacrificing performance. ASRock has expressed their enthusiasm for this new achievement on their social media platforms.

The Z890 platform continues to dominate the scene, allowing enthusiasts to push DDR5 memory to its limits. Among the frontrunners, the ASRock Z890 Taichi OCF stands out as an essential motherboard for achieving exceptional speeds. It is predicted that additional world records may be broken in the near future, inching ever closer to the coveted 13, 000 MT/s benchmark.

Although reaching this next milestone will require further innovation and time, many DDR5 RAM kits from various manufacturers, including V-Color, G. Skill, and Corsair, demonstrate strong potential for achieving such ambitious goals as they release faster and larger capacity modules.
