Exciting Updates Coming to Borderlands 4 from PAX Australia

Gearbox’s recent appearance at PAX Australia unveiled intriguing new information regarding Borderlands 4, including insights into its post-launch roadmap. Among the highlights is the exciting tease for the inaugural Bounty Pack titled How Rush Saved Mercenary Day.

New Chapter: How Rush Saved Mercenary Day

Scheduled for release on November 20, 2025, this paid DLC comes just in time for the holiday season, boasting a festive atmosphere wrapped in snow. The storyline follows Rush as he grapples with homesickness while attempting to revive the joy of Mercenary Day celebrations. However, his efforts are undermined by Screw, the Timekeeper’s minister of culture, leading Rush on a mission to restore the holiday spirit.

What’s Inside the Bounty Pack

This upcoming Bounty Pack is packed with exciting new content, featuring:

  • Cosmetic upgrades, including weapon skins, Echo attachments, Vault Hunter skins, and vehicle designs.
  • Four new legendary weapons to enhance gameplay.
  • A brand-new vehicle to explore the expansive world.

Players who purchased the Deluxe or Super Deluxe edition of Borderlands 4 will receive this Bounty Pack as a free update on its release date. Others will have the option to buy it separately or as part of a bundle.

Upcoming Free Content: Horrors of Kairos

In addition to the paid DLC, a seasonal mini-event dubbed Horrors of Kairos will commence on October 23, just in time for Halloween. This event offers players a chance to obtain legendary items, including the Murmur assault rifle and the ‘Skully’ grenade. Furthermore, players can prepare for the arrival of a formidable new raid boss, Bloomreaper the Invincible, expected to debut in December 2025.
