Naruto Uzumaki’s Lost Powers in Boruto
- Naruto’s abilities were significantly reduced in the Boruto series.
- His connection with Kurama was severed.
In the Boruto storyline, Naruto Uzumaki has experienced a drastic decline in power. Although fans initially witnessed him in his prime battling formidable foes like Momoshiki, this encounter was one of the few instances where Naruto was depicted at his best. Unfortunately, even during this significant battle, both Naruto and Sasuke were portrayed less effectively than fans might have hoped. This fight was crucial as it was the only significant work the original creator, Masashi Kishimoto, directly handled.
Subsequent to their initial triumph, Naruto and Sasuke underwent a disappointing narrative decline. Following a fierce battle against Isshiki, during which Kurama ultimately sacrificed himself, Naruto was left significantly weakened. His vulnerabilities prompted Kawaki to seal him away, ostensibly for Naruto’s protection against impending threats. This narrative decision has been met with disapproval from a considerable section of the fanbase. Nevertheless, the hope remains that Naruto will return, and fans are eager for his potential power restoration.
Theories abound regarding how Naruto could reclaim his former strength. The excitement lies in exploring diverse pathways through which he could potentially regain his powers, creating an engaging discussion among fans.
How Naruto Can Reacquire Chakra from Other Tailed Beasts
Naruto’s Connection to the Tailed Beasts
Kurama has always been the cornerstone of Naruto’s strength. From his birth—with half of Kurama sealed by Minato—to his ascension as a formidable Jinchuriki of both halves of the beast, Naruto’s power journey has been quite remarkable. Post-war, he enjoyed the benefits of having access to the chakra of not just Kurama, but also the other Tailed Beasts, effectively elevating him to a pseudo-Jinchuriki of the Ten Tails. This evolution led to the awakening of the Six Paths Senjutsu, empowering him against formidable adversaries. However, the loss of Kurama has left a noticeable void in his abilities.
Despite this setback, Naruto’s potential for power recovery remains viable through the other Tailed Beasts, who continue to exist freely in the world. Currently, only Gyuki resides within Killer Bee, but Naruto still maintains a connection with the remaining Tailed Beasts and could seek to gain access to their chakra as he looks to replenish his own.
While this concept might seem ambitious, it is truly plausible. The Tailed Beasts acknowledge Naruto’s legacy as the Sage of Six Paths’ successor and have previously shared their chakra with him, suggesting they would likely do so again. Upon Naruto’s return, a quest to regain Tailed Beast chakra could unfold, significantly boosting his strength and renewing his power similar to his Six Paths Sage Mode—though Kurama’s absence would temper this strength. Nonetheless, this surge in powers could herald the return of other abilities lost over time.
Can Naruto Utilize Baryon Mode with Other Tailed Beasts?
Theoretical Use of Baryon Mode
The introduction of Baryon Mode has opened new avenues for Naruto’s combat capabilities. Initially, this mode was instrumental during his confrontation with Isshiki, allowing him to tap into Kurama’s chakra and momentarily establish dominance over his opponent. The notion that Naruto could harness Baryon Mode using the chakra of other Tailed Beasts also arises. If he could access this mode through Kurama, it stands to reason he could do so again with an alternative source of chakra.
Future arcs could see Naruto mastering the synchronization process of the other Tailed Beasts’ chakra, enabling him to utilize Baryon Mode effectively while minimizing risks to himself and the chakra. Should he successfully achieve this, Naruto may regain a level of strength surpassing his previous capabilities, positioning him above many Otsutsuki adversaries.
However, before any of this is feasible, he must first be freed from captivity, currently enforced by Kawaki. In time, when Naruto is liberated, fans are hopeful they will witness his resurgence as the most powerful ninja of his time.
