Nam Yoon-su from Love In The Big City in Talks to Star in Action Thriller Film Killing Time
According to a report by OSEN on October 18, actor Nam Yoon-su has been officially cast in the forthcoming action-thriller film, Killing Time. This highly anticipated project, produced by Perfect Storm Film and helmed by director Jang Joon-yeop, delves into the chaos that ensues after the sudden demise of a team member during a live-streamed internet event.
Nam Yoon-su’s entertainment career commenced as a model, making his debut in a fashion spread back in 2014. Fans are particularly excited about his latest role in the drama Love In The Big City, which is set to premiere on the streaming platform TVING.
Killing Time: Synopsis and Lead Role
The central narrative of Killing Time focuses on the shocking death of a team member that occurs during a live internet broadcast, an incident witnessed by all present. This tragic event shifts the dynamics and triggers a series of unexpected twists. Nam Yoon-su has been confirmed as the lead actor in this gripping film.
Nam Yoon-su’s acting career took off in 2018 when he appeared in the drama 4 Kinds of House. However, it was his standout performance in Netflix’s Human Class released in 2020 that truly cemented his reputation. His role as Kwak Ki-tae, a character with moral dilemmas, has won him acclaim and set him up as one of the most promising actors in South Korea’s film and television landscape.

Post Human Class, Nam Yoon-su’s star only continued to rise with his participation in various successful dramas, including Postpartum Care Center, Monster, Yeonmo, and Today’s Webtoon. Each of these roles has highlighted his range, from deeply emotional narratives to exhilarating action sequences.
He’s also slated to appear in the drama Love In The Big City, where he shares the screen with Kim Go-eun and Noh Sang-hyun. This series unfolds the story of a young gay man in Korea who forges a meaningful friendship with a fellow student, resulting in them living together. The show is adapted from the novel by Sang Young Park, of the same title.
During an interview with Allure Korea, Nam addressed issues of homophobia within Korean culture and expressed:
“It’s the same love story. Everyday life goes on, and the only difference is gender. So I hope you see it as it is. However, the fact that the show is released only on OTT shows that Korean society still has some ways to go.”
He added that he treated his character Go Yeong as a normal role and mentioned how growing up with queer friends influenced his openness.
In addition to his acting prowess, Nam Yoon-su has garnered media attention for his generous act of donating his kidney to his ailing father. Reflecting on this life-changing decision, he expressed joy at being able to assist his father and emphasized the significance of supporting those in need, regardless of the challenges.
This altruistic gesture has earned him considerable admiration and led to his designation as the Hope Seed Life Sharing Ambassador for the National Institute of Organ and Tissue Blood Management.
At the ceremony for his appointment, he discussed the critical importance of organ and tissue donations, advocating for increased awareness, particularly in Korea, where there is a notable shortage of donors in relation to the number of patients in need of transplants.
