Episode 13 of the popular variety show My Name is Gabriel featured BLACKPINK’s Jennie. This episode premiered on September 27, 2024, on the JBTC television network, as well as on TVING and Disney+ in select regions.

The latest episode starring Jennie quickly gained traction among viewers, elevating the show’s ratings to the top spot on TVING Live broadcasts with an impressive 24.6% viewership share, outpacing other shows on the streaming platform. In this segment, the K-pop star dedicated 72 hours to living as Maria, a farm stay owner.

BLACKPINK’s Jennie Embraces Life as a Farm Stay Owner in Italy’s Paliano Village

In the opening of Episode 13, host Defconn, along with Lee Hae-ri and Kang Min-kyung, welcomed BLACKPINK’s Jennie. The K-pop star expressed her excitement about her transformative experience filming for the show, which took place in Italy.

The location choice was tailored to Jennie’s interests. In a video segment at the show’s start, Jennie shared her love for nature, animals, food presentation, and Europe. She revealed that she might have pursued a career as an event planner had she not entered the world of K-pop, which made her time in the village of Paliano, Italy, even more special.

Jennie’s journey began upon her arrival in Napoli, Italy. Upon receiving a car, she stumbled upon a phone with images of a horse and dog, which hinted at her upcoming responsibilities. She inferred that horseback riding might be one of her tasks. The ride took her to a horse ranch near Paliano, where she met Maria.

Maria informed Jennie that she would step into her shoes for 72 hours, and together they spent some time at the ranch. Jennie seemed comfortable around the horses, which can be attributed to her previous experiences at ranches during her studies in New Zealand. Maria introduced Jennie to her horse, Bambi.

Afterward, Maria took Jennie to her farm stay and informed her that she was the manager of the establishment. With Maria leaving, Jennie also met Maria’s dog, Chlea.

Maria’s mother soon arrived, leading to an introduction. She invited Jennie into their home, where she learned more about Maria’s life, including her passion for figurine collecting.

Maria’s mother explained that not only did Maria run the farm stay, but she also worked as a sommelier. Jennie, in her role as Maria, crafted an Italian spritz. As they enjoyed their drinks, Jennie and Maria’s mother discussed Maria’s father’s passing and her deep bond with Bambi.

The evening meal consisted of gnocchi, and Jennie was tasked with gathering vegetables from the garden. Together, they picked fresh produce to prepare the dish. The cooking process appeared to be an enjoyable venture for BLACKPINK’s Jennie.

During dinner, a wild cat named Discoverina appeared. Maria’s mother shared a philosophical insight about love, citing their cat and dog as examples, which helped Jennie form a significant connection with her mother on her first day.

Following a night of rest, Jennie took charge of the farm stay the next day. She communicated with her staff to understand her duties. Her mother informed her that she was expecting some guests.

Jennie then drove Maria’s car to pick up three boys who had traveled from Milan for their visit. On the way back, one of the boys recognized her as BLACKPINK’s Jennie, leading to a slightly awkward moment.

As previewed for the next episode, Jennie’s adventures will continue in My Name is Gabriel, where she will treat the guests and prepare pizzas.
