Music Journalist Claims Diddy Ended Internship of Touré’s Relative After Alleged Refusal to Accompany Him

In the wake of Diddy’s recent arrest and indictment, numerous stories have emerged regarding the rapper’s alleged conduct with women. Recently, acclaimed music journalist Touré made compelling claims about Diddy.

On September 25, 2024, Touré appeared on The ReidOut with Joy Reid, where he discussed how his cousin began working with Diddy as an intern. He shared that he had a cordial relationship with the rapper, and around 10-12 years ago, he contacted Diddy to request his cousin be hired as an intern.

Touré revealed that his cousin abruptly ceased working for Diddy after a few months. The intern eventually confided in Touré about the circumstances that led to his departure. During the interview, Touré alleged:

“Puff had said, ‘Come home, stay the night with me, or the internship is over.’ And [the intern] said, ‘Absolutely not.’ And the internship ended.”

He further commented:

“From there I was like, ‘Oh, this is how it goes. Okay.’ So it’s concerning to hear that things may have escalated even further with potentially, allegedly, many others.”

“He’s not in his right self”— Touré on Diddy

On September 23, 2024, Touré spoke with TMZ Live and asserted that Diddy’s alleged drug use might explain the rapper’s organization of “Freak-Off”parties. He described how Diddy was a markedly different person decades ago, recalling him as “extremely sharp, motivational, [and] very strategic.”

Without delving too deeply into specifics, Touré expressed concerns that Diddy’s mind had been clouded for the past 15 years. He elaborated:

“He’s not in his right self. It’s been a haze of drug abuse, and that’s why he’s making these horrendous decisions.”

However, Touré clarified that he wasn’t using drug use as an excuse for Diddy’s behavior but rather highlighting how it contributed to his current troubles.

Moreover, during the MSNBC interview on The ReidOut, Touré pointed out that drug addiction lay at the heart of Diddy’s problems, claiming that he also drew his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura into addiction.

Touré noted that Cassie had been working on an album with Diddy for nearly a decade, alleging that it served as a “giant pacifier”to distract her while the rapper exploited her for the so-called “Freak-Off”parties. He mentioned that Cassie found the strength to speak out against Diddy after going to rehab, which inspired other victims to share their experiences.

Diddy was arrested on September 16, 2024, facing racketeering and s*x trafficking charges. According to Complex, Diddy had proposed a $50 million bail package with travel restrictions, but his bail was ultimately denied. People magazine reported that he remains incarcerated until his trial, with the next court appearance expected in early October.

His attorney, Marc Agnifio, urged the public to withhold judgment until all facts are presented and informed the media that Diddy has been cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
