Unfortunately, Gamecube controllers cannot be used directly in PC USB ports, so gamers wishing to use such a controller will need to purchase a dedicated USB adapter.

There are several Gamecube USB adapters on the market at the moment, but the best ones are:

Many PC players recommend the Mayflash 4-port adapter, but it’s up to you which one you want to purchase.

Install Delfinovin Software

If you have a USB adapter, you will need to download free recognition software that will adapt the Gamecube controls to your PC system.

Follow these steps to correctly recognize the controller:

  1. Download and install the Delfinovin program .
  2. Connect the Gamecube controller to the USB adapter.
  3. Connect the USB adapter to the PC.
  4. Launch the Delfnovin application.

The controller should be immediately recognized by the program if you did everything right. If you are using a Mayflash adapter, try switching between the PC and NS ports on the back.

If your computer does not recognize your Gamecube controller even after you have done everything correctly, you will need to install additional software by following these steps:

  1. Download and install the Zadig software .
  2. Launch the Zadig app.
  3. Go to the “Options” menu.
  4. Select the “List all devices” option.
  5. Select the code “WUP-028”.
  6. Confirm by clicking Install.

When the driver is ready, repeat the same steps with the Delfinovin software as above.

If you are playing the game on Steam but are still having problems with your Gamecube controller, you need to do the following:

  1. Launch the Steam application.

  3. Click “Settings” (gear icon).
  4. Select the Controller tab.
