Introducing the MAG 272UP X24: Priced at 5, 499 Yuan, Pre-orders Start Next Week

Earlier this year, MSI rolled out its flagship MAG 272URX QD-OLED monitor, and now, it is expanding its offerings with a new variant tailored for the Chinese market. The upcoming model, known as the MAG 272UP X24 QD-OLED, shares similar technical specifications with the 272URX but includes some key differences worth noting.

This monitor features a QD-OLED panel manufactured by Samsung, renowned for its leadership in QD-OLED technology. Over recent years, Samsung has aggressively increased its QD-OLED panel production, and this trend is expected to gain momentum this year. With MSI, ASUS, and other leading brands adopting these advanced panels in their latest models, the MAG 272UP X24 exemplifies this innovation.

MAG 272UP X24

The MAG 272UP X24 is equipped with a generous 26.5-inch screen, delivering a stunning resolution of 3840×2160 pixels and a remarkable refresh rate of up to 240Hz. It also boasts a contrast ratio of 1.5M:1 and achieves a true 10-bit color depth, capable of displaying over a billion colors. With a typical brightness of 250 nits in SDR mode and an impressive 450 nits in HDR mode, this monitor is designed to perform exceptionally well in various lighting conditions.

MAG 272UP X24 features

Regarding design, dimensions, and ergonomics, the MAG 272UP X24 closely mirrors the MAG 272URX, with a few distinctions primarily in connectivity options. Notably, the MAG 272URX is the first MSI model to incorporate the cutting-edge DP 2.1a UBHR20 port, which supports data bandwidth of up to 80 Gbps. In contrast, the MAG 272UP X24 will utilize the more conventional DP 1.4 port, offering a bandwidth of up to 48 Gbps.

Another point of differentiation lies in power delivery capabilities via the USB-C port. The flagship MAG 272URX features a robust 98W Type-C port, while the MAG 272UP X24 is equipped with a more modest 15W PD Type-C port. Despite these variations, both models are designed to fulfill the requirements of avid gamers who prioritize superior visual experiences while maintaining competitive performance.

Scheduled for preorder next week, the MAG 272UP X24 will be available for 5, 499 Yuan, approximately equivalent to US$752.
