MSI’s Project Zero Innovation

MSI’s Project Zero initiative introduces a fresh approach to motherboard design. Although they have yet to release an X870 connector-less board for the AMD platform, they currently offer two models in the B850 series, namely the B850 Gaming Plus WiFi PZ and the newly launched PRO B850M-A WiFi PZ. Additionally, MSI has revealed the PRO Z890-WiFi PZ, marking its foray into Intel’s 800-series with this innovative design. According to leaker @momomo_us, MSI is preparing multiple models under the Project Zero scheme, which include one AMD model and two Intel variants.

Features of the PRO B850M-A WiFi PZ

The new motherboards fall within the Pro series and utilize a Micro-ATX form factor, a notable development as the market currently lacks many connector-less options in this size. The PRO B850M-A WiFi PZ supports an impressive four PCIe x16 slots, a rarity for Micro-ATX boards. It also showcases an elegant design with silver-toned heat sinks, reminiscent of previous MSI Project Zero models.

This motherboard is outfitted with an 8+4 EPS connector combination, a standard 24-pin ATX power connector, USB 3.0 ports, USB Type-C, SATA ports, a PCIe 8-pin connector for graphics cards, along with several headers for fans, RGB/ARGB lighting, and front-panel connections. The other two Intel models in this lineup, the PRO B860M-A WiFi PZ and PRO B860M-VC WiFi PZ featuring LGA 1851 sockets, have yet to be visually revealed, but they’re expected to maintain design elements similar to their AMD counterpart with a few distinctions.

While MSI has not officially confirmed these models, enthusiasts and potential buyers are eagerly awaiting further announcements.
