Innovative Display Technologies Featured at Computex: MSI’s MPG & MAG Monitors Stand Out
At this year’s Computex event in Taipei, MSI distinguished itself as one of the leading display manufacturers, showcasing an extensive collection of monitors. The company’s commitment to expanding its peripheral offerings, alongside its renowned computer components, has positioned it as a competitive player in the gaming monitor sector. Highlighting this push, MSI introduced an impressive selection of at least seven new gaming monitors, underlining their confidence in tackling the industry’s biggest names.
MSI’s focus on premium QD-OLED monitors is evident, yet they also acknowledged the needs of budget-conscious gamers. The flagship models are five QD-OLED monitors featuring either third or fourth-generation QD-OLED panels. Utilizing Samsung’s cutting-edge QD-OLED technology, these displays promise exceptional visual performance and rapid responsiveness.

Among these, the MPG 271QR QD-OLED X50 and MAG 272QP QD-OLED X50 are notable for their blistering 500Hz refresh rates at a resolution of 2560x1440p on a 26.5-inch display. Both monitors boast VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 and VESA ClearMR 21000 certifications, signifying their position as premier offerings with outstanding brightness and image quality. Additionally, MSI introduced the MPG 272URX QD-OLED, a 27-inch model with a 4th generation QD-OLED panel, which supports 3840x2160p resolution and an impressive 240Hz refresh rate.

Both the MPG 271QR and MAG 272QP models are designed for ultimate performance, featuring a rapid 0.03ms GtG response time and employing MSI’s OLED Care 2.0 technology to mitigate potential image burn-in. The MPG 272URX model stands out with enhanced connectivity options, including DisplayPort 2.1a (UHBR20), which allows up to 80 Gbps of bandwidth, ensuring an optimal gaming experience.

The MPG 322URX QD-OLED, which offers a larger 31.5-inch display, provides a more immersive gaming experience while maintaining many of the features found in the 272URX model. The MAG 272QPW QD-OLED X28, a 280Hz gaming monitor with a 3rd-gen QD-OLED panel, serves as a budget-friendly alternative without sacrificing too much on features.

For those seeking an upper mid-range monitor, the MSI MPG 274URDFW E16M stands out with its 27-inch Rapid IPS technology. This versatile monitor supports dual-mode configurations, allowing users to choose between UHD@160Hz and FHD@320Hz resolutions, allowing gamers to prioritize visual detail or fast-paced action as needed. Furthermore, it is G-Sync compatible, ensuring a smooth and tear-free gaming experience.

Last but not least, the MPG 242R X60N, engineered with esports professionals in mind, features a 24-inch Rapid TN panel. It boasts an astonishing 600Hz refresh rate at 1080p resolution and a minimal 0.1ms GtG response time, catering specifically to competitive gaming. The inclusion of KVM support and a 4:3 aspect ratio has resonated well with gamers, particularly those who value precision in fast-paced environments.
