MSI Launches GeForce RTX 5050 INSPIRE ITX and OC Graphics Cards, Only 147mm Long

The INSPIRE series GeForce RTX 5050 represents a breakthrough in compact GPU design, featuring an impressively lightweight profile at only 551 grams and a streamlined single fan configuration. These cards are tailored specifically for users seeking to maximize performance in the smallest ITX cases available.

MSI Unveils Ultra-Compact RTX 5050 INSPIRE ITX and OC GPUs with Dual-Slot Thickness

MSI has officially launched the latest additions to its GeForce RTX lineup with the introduction of two new RTX 5050 models in the INSPIRE series. Notably, these GPUs are among the smallest options on the market, featuring a dual-slot design paired with a single-fan cooling solution, ensuring they fit seamlessly into ultra-compact ITX systems. In addition to MSI, PNY has also released a similarly compact GeForce RTX 5050, measuring a mere 147mm in length, making these cards quite versatile.

The INSPIRE ITX series includes two distinct variants: the RTX 5050 INSPIRE ITX and the RTX 5050 INSPIRE ITX OC. The standard model supports a maximum boost clock of 2587 MHz in Extreme Performance mode, whereas the OC edition offers a slightly superior clock speed of 2617 MHz. The sleek and minimalistic design captures the essence of the INSPIRE branding, offering a modern aesthetic alongside high performance.

Equipped with 3x DisplayPort v2.1b and 1x HDMI port, these GPUs are built to handle high resolutions and refresh rates. However, it’s essential to note that the GeForce RTX 5050 is positioned as the entry-level Blackwell GPU, making it best suited for 1080p gaming. Users should manage their expectations regarding frame rates, as it may struggle to achieve high-performance benchmarks.

In terms of power consumption, the card features a TDP of 130W and includes a single PCIe 8-pin connector. For thermal management, MSI employs its ZERO FROZR cooling technology, integrating heat pipes and TORX Fan 5.0 designed for optimal airflow. This cooling approach differs slightly from the Stormforce Fans used in the GeForce RTX 5060 INSPIRE 2X OC card, though both maintain a similar overall visual design.

This launch marks a significant advancement in compact GPU technology, providing options for gamers seeking both power and space-saving solutions.
