MSI Launches First-Ever 2K QD-OLED Gaming Monitors Featuring Up to 500Hz Refresh Rate

MSI has introduced two revolutionary QD-OLED gaming monitors that set a new standard in refresh rates and visual performance, both capable of an impressive 500Hz refresh rate.

MSI Unveils Groundbreaking 500Hz QD-OLED Gaming Monitors: MPG 271QR X50 and MAG 272QP

At Computex, MSI presented its latest achievements in gaming technology with the launch of the MPG 271QR X50 and MAG 272QP gaming monitors. Both monitors utilize cutting-edge QD-OLED panels sourced from Samsung Display’s third-generation technology, enhancing picture quality while maintaining rapid responsiveness. This combination is designed to elevate both gaming and multimedia experiences.

These 27-inch monitors feature a stunning resolution of 2560×1440 pixels, delivering an extraordinary refresh rate of up to 500Hz. This level of fluidity ensures that gameplay remains exceptionally smooth, with a rapid response time of just 0.03ms GtG. Such specifications make them ideal for competitive eSports enthusiasts. Additionally, MSI claims these monitors integrate “groundbreaking AI-powered technology”for enhanced reliability and an immersive user experience.

AI Care Sensor

Featuring an innovative AI Care Sensor, the monitors use a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) to capture images every 0.2 seconds, allowing for precise user detection and dynamic adjustment of settings. Another significant feature is MSI’s OLED Care technology, which addresses potential screen burn-in, a common concern with OLED displays.

The MPG 271QR QD-OLED X50 monitor exemplifies high-performance gaming. As one of the first to offer a 2K QD-OLED display with a remarkable 500Hz refresh rate, it comes equipped with ClearMR 21000 and DisplayHDR True Black 500 certifications, ensuring sharp and vivid visuals suitable for a variety of uses.

In contrast, the MAG 272QP QD-OLED X50 shares similar specifications with the MPG 271QR model but lacks the AI Care Sensor. Despite this, it still supports a 2K resolution, a 500Hz refresh rate, and a 0.03ms GtG response time, promising an exceptional gaming experience. While specific details regarding pricing and availability have not yet been released by MSI, industry expectations suggest that these monitors will be positioned in the premium price range, considering that current high-end QD-OLED monitors from MSI, such as the MAG 271QPX, are already priced around $700 with lower refresh capabilities.
