MPL Malaysia Season 14 Playoffs Overview: Competing Teams, Important Dates, and M6 World Championship Berths

The playoffs for the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) MPL Malaysia Season 14 are set to kick off on October 31, 2024. During an exciting four-day tournament, the top six teams from the Regular Season will compete for a prestigious trophy and a share of the impressive $100,000 prize pool. Notably, both the champion and the runner-up will earn their place in the upcoming M6 World Championship, scheduled for November 2024.

These playoffs will feature a Hybrid Elimination bracket format, with all matches contested in a Best of 5 (Bo5) format, apart from the Grand Finals, which will adopt a Best of 7 (Bo7) structure. The event will take place at the Indoor Arena, EduCity Sports Complex, located in Iskandar Puteri, Johor. Fans can catch all the action live through MLBB Esports’ official channels on YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok.

The champions of Season 14 will walk away with a cash prize of $25,000, while the runners-up will receive $13,000. Additionally, the Most Valuable Player (MVP) from the Grand Finals will pocket $1,000. Each team that participates in the playoffs will also receive a portion of the total prize pool.

Teams Qualified for MPL Malaysia Season 14

Below are the six teams that have secured their spots:

3. JP Niners
4. Sword
5. Monster Vicious
6. Red Esports MY

Selangor Red Giants have been exceptional throughout the MLBB 2024 season, clinching the title in Season 13 of MPL Malaysia. Their remarkable performance during the Mid Season Cup (MSC) held in July astounded many, as they overcame several prestigious teams globally, securing a championship title.

As the frontrunners of the Regular Season in the current tournament, Selangor achieved triumph in eight out of their nine matches. Led by Yums, the team now aspires to crown themselves champions of MPL Season 14 and qualify for the M6 World Championship.

Team Vamos finished the Regular Season in second place, posting seven wins against two losses. They are looking to continue their good form as they prepare for the playoffs.

The first playoff match for JP Niners will see them squaring off against Red Esports MY. This encounter is crucial, as the losing team will face elimination from MPL Season 14. In a similar vein, Todak will compete against Monster Vicious in their opening match. Both matchups will take place within a Single Elimination format, making it vital for these teams to perform well right from the get-go.
