Mortal Kombat 1 has navigated a challenging landscape since its debut in September 2023. Initially, the game garnered positive reviews and a promising post-launch roadmap featuring an impressive lineup of downloadable content (DLC) fighters, including Omni-Man, Homelander, and Peacemaker. However, the journey hasn’t been entirely smooth.
While the first Kombat Pack was generally well-received, Mortal Kombat 1 faced significant criticism in between DLC releases. Issues included the disappointing seasonal content and several notable controversies surrounding microtransactions. Nevertheless, developer NetherRealm continued its course by planning a major story expansion and introducing a second wave of DLC fighters. As we approach the forthcoming release of the DLC fighter T-1000 from Terminator 2, the community anticipates the potential launch dates.
Projected Release Window for T-1000 in Mortal Kombat 1

Analyzing Previous DLC Release Patterns in Mortal Kombat 1
The rollout of Mortal Kombat 1’s first Kombat Pack began just two months post-launch, with Omni-Man making his debut on November 9, 2023, followed by Quan Chi on December 14. However, the next DLC fighter, Peacemaker, encountered delays before finally releasing on February 28, 2024, nearly 11 weeks after Quan Chi.
The remaining fighters from the first Kombat Pack were introduced consistently, with Ermac launching on April 16, The Boys’ Homelander on June 4, and Takeda rounding out the lineup on July 23—each appearing roughly seven weeks apart.
Similarly, the subsequent Kombat Pack maintained a reliable release schedule. The launch of Sektor, Cyrax, and Noob Saibot coincided with the Khaos Reigns expansion on September 24. Ghostface, from the Scream franchise, was next, arriving eight weeks later, followed by Conan the Barbarian after another nine-week interlude.
It’s worth noting that the mentioned dates reflect when fighters became available for early access to Kombat Pack purchasers, with individual buyers gaining access one week later.
Potential March Release for T-1000 in Mortal Kombat 1
Considering the established patterns of past DLC releases, T-1000 is expected to debut approximately 7 to 9 weeks following Conan’s early access date. This prediction places T-1000’s launch window around March 11 to March 25.
Although unforeseen delays are always a possibility, harkening back to the Peacemaker incident, it seems likely that NetherRealm aims to deliver a strong closing statement with T-1000. As the final DLC fighter for the time being, timely availability would align with player expectations for a fitting conclusion to the current roster expansion.
