CAPCOM has delivered on its promise by rolling out the first significant update for Monster Hunter Wilds today. For players on Steam, the update requires a download of 6GB, or 16GB if high-resolution textures are enabled. While the fix addresses numerous bugs, several key additions stand out:

  • Voice lines for Alma, known as the Handler, have been refreshed, adding depth to the narrative.
  • Arena log pages have been added to hunter profiles for better tracking of achievements.
  • The Change Appearance menu now accommodates an option to alter Alma’s outfit, providing players with personalization choices.
  • Pop-up camp gear options have been updated, alongside new limited bounty categories.
  • Voice lines, pose sets, and gestures have expanded to enrich in-game interactions.

Upcoming Events

Preparations are underway for the Festival of Accord, scheduled from April 23 to May 6, promising exciting in-game festivities.

Special Event Quest

Players can participate in a limited-time Event Quest titled “Anguish and Atrocity, ” where they will confront a Guardian Doshaguma in the Ruins of Wyveria. Successful completion of this quest rewards additional Hunter Rank Points. Note that this quest is available until April 8 at 4:59 PM Pacific Time.

Known Issues and Workarounds

CAPCOM has noted a known issue with the game crashing when interacting with Nata for item trades with Sekka at the Village Intermediary. As a temporary workaround, players are advised to wait for a certain duration or rest at the BBQ Menu.

Record-Breaking Sales

In exciting news, Monster Hunter Wilds has shattered CAPCOM’s previous sales records, achieving over 10 million units sold within the first month across all platforms. This rapid success places it on track to potentially surpass its predecessor, Monster Hunter World, which has a cumulative total of 21.3 million units sold. Continued developer support through updates and downloadable content will be pivotal in reaching this milestone.
