While there might be alternative methods to gather Sharp Fangs not covered here, the strategies outlined in this guide are typically sufficient for players to secure the required materials.

Where to Find Sharp Fangs in Monster Hunter Wilds

Target Monsters: Gajios and Talioth

Location of Sharp Fang in Monster Hunter Wilds

Sharp Fangs can be reliably harvested from the remains of two specific small monsters: Gajios and Talioth. Both creatures inhabit the Windward Plains, the initial ecosystem encountered in Monster Hunter Wilds. The ideal spot for hunting these monsters is Area 8, which features plenty of water, making it a prime location for both Gajios, resembling a crocodile, and Talioth, akin to a velociraptor. The accompanying map highlights this area.

To optimize your search, make use of the Filter Icons feature to find the exact locations of Gajios and Talioth. To do so, open your map, select “Filter Icons”located at the bottom left, and filter for “Small Monsters.”By selecting either Gajios or Talioth, you can drop a waypoint to streamline your hunting efforts.

Once you’ve found a Gajios or Talioth, equip your weapon and take down the monster. After defeating it, approach the carcass and follow the prompt to collect the material. It’s important to note that while Gajios will consistently drop a Sharp Fang, the Talioth may not. This inconsistency makes Gajios a preferable target for farming Sharp Fangs, although the latter may appear more frequently. Players shouldn’t overlook opportunities to hunt Talioth, as they can still yield valuable drops despite the uncertainty.

Utilizing Sharp Fangs in Crafting

Sharp Fangs play a crucial role in crafting not only the Chatacabra Coil, which offers one level of the Speed Eating Equipment Skill and aids in activating the Flexible Leathercraft Group Skill, but also the Talioth Vambraces. These armguards provide the Leap of Faith Skill. Regardless of your crafting objectives, make sure to visit Gemma, the Smithy, located at any Base Camp after collecting your Sharp Fangs.
